Well to be honest time to time yes... I got a few hits, but only when I did soemthing really very bad. As I was the eldest on in the family there was no need. So far as I remember it was once when i run away from home at age 5 or 6 and once at 12... It did help, because never anymore wouldnt do anything bad. But I don't think hitting , beating or what ever it calls is good thing. As I am lately understood all belongs how much you talk. And if you say soemthing and dont tdo anything from your own than there wont be also attention from child.
Children always look what parents are doing.
So do did I. And am like mother only not in look, but also for example crazy about cleaning etc.
Thats my opinion

this website is for people to learn about Islam.

There should not be any polls of such personal matter,

its ridiculous to ask if people will do the same to their kids.

Rather, we should use Islam to form how we speak, to advise etc, so, please put articles that help people, and not simply ask for people's opinions.
