Individual salvation

Salaam,

I started a post yesterday but the title did not get the responses I am in need of. Please be so kind as to answer this question: How does Islam answer your questions about individual salvation. We have many viewers on TTI that are contemplating reverting. How do we describe how Islam brings peace into our lives and prepares us for the Day of Judgement. What are your personal feelings about individual salvation. I think this will influence many many people. And as usual I thank you,

your aapa.

Yes dear sister it's very important issue,so I found this artical on net and it handles the same topic hoping it will be beneficial insha'Allah.

Real happiness and peace can be found in submitting to the commands of the Creator and the Sustainer of this world. God has said in the Quran:

“Truly, in remembering God do hearts find rest.” (Quran 13:28)

On the other hand, the one who turns away from the Quran will have a life of hardship in this world. God has said:

“But whoever turns away from the Quran,[1] he will have a hard life, and We will raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment.” (Quran 20:124)

This may explain why some people commit suicide while they enjoy the material comfort money can buy. For example, look at Cat Stevens (now Yusuf Islam), formerly a famous pop singer who used to earn sometimes more than $150,000 a night. After he converted to Islam, he found true happiness and peace, which he had not found in material success.[2]

God has said in the Quran:

Those who have disbelieved and died in disbelief, the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them if one offered it as a ransom. They will have a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers. (Quran, 3:91)

So, this life is our only chance to win Paradise and to escape from Hellfire, because if someone dies in disbelief, he will not have another chance to come back to this world to believe. As God has said in the Quran about what is going to happen for the unbelievers on the Day of Judgment:

If you could but see when they are set before the Fire (Hell) and say, “Would that we might return (to the world)! Then we would not reject the verses of our Lord, but we would be of the believers!” (Quran, 6:27)

But no one will have this second opportunity.

The Prophet Muhammad said: {The happiest man in the world of those doomed to the Fire (Hell) on the Day of Judgment will be dipped in the Fire once. Then he will be asked, “Son of Adam, did you ever see any good? Did you ever experience any blessing?” So he will say, “No, by God, O Lord!”}

As soon as we come out of our mothers womb, we are muslim. It is our parents who makes us christian, jew, hindu, etc...Alhamdullilah my parents brought me up as muslim, and may Allah reward them for that. As I was growing up, my father would always read to us, talk to us, and help us to become good muslims. He would teach us to study Quran, fast in Ramadan, and give to those who were in need. He always gave his last to someone, even if we had to go hungry(there were five of us). He taught me how beautiful islam is, and to stay in this beautiful religion until death.

After he went back to Allah, My christian aunt took me in, and tried to "Christianize" me. I was in the world for a while, but I felt that something was missing. My world was falling apart little by little, and I did not know why. I was on the verge of a breakdown, when I had a long talk with my brother who was still practicing. We talked for about three hours, and (by the grace of Allah) talked me into coming back to islam. This is what was missing. The emptiness I felt was the absence of Allah in my life, but He was always in my heart, and when I came back, I was at peace, Alhamdullilah.

Islam helps us because it helps us to stay away from what is harmful to us and helps us to do what is good and right. Look at the people who are on drugs, and drinking alcohol. There are so many accidents, suicides, disobeying of the parents, stealing just to get what you need to destroy yourself. Islam keeps us away from that, because Allah loves us, subhanallah. Just by testifying that there is no God but Allah, you are saving yourself from the Hell-Fire, and will be in a place that is the most beautiful and everlasting, Paradise, Alhamdullilah. When you come back to Allah, He will make things easy for you, He will provide for you, and be there for you when you need Him.
Despite what you see in the media about islam, its always good to go to the source, The Quran, read it for yourself. It will change your life for the better. It has for me, and I am a better person for it. This is my story(a short version of it), and I hope this helped inshallah.:blackhijab:

I think has got to do with Tauheed. Once you realize that and feel that with all your heart...well....there's nothing and nobody else that can let you feel "salvation" in here and hereafter!:ma:

Now, why did God send Adam and Eve down to earth even though He forgave them? It wasn't a punishment. It was their assignment for which He created them in the first place. He says in 2:30, "And when your Lord said to the angels I am setting up in the earth a deputy."

So, why did God place Adam and Eve in the Garden first? Because He wanted to teach them about Satan, temptation, sin and its wages, repentanace, supplication, and His forgiveness, all lessons they will need to learn and heed when they go to their assignment: Life on earth!

MashAllah Brother Ayman1,

Jazakallah Khair
