Alhamdulillaah we don't get that kind of impression a lot here in our airport. Everyone gets their bags sniffed by a K9 :D

I am surprised we dont have the K9 yet at the airport lol. It is such a hassle. I need three bins for my stuff. One for shoes, one for purse, and one for laptop. I break a sweat by the time I am through lol. I like how they look at the I.D. and stare at you for 5 mins pondering is that really you in the photo lol.

Assalamu alaikum,

Yes the K9's are a really big help to the passengers because you don't have to open up everything unless they're on a super duper mega red alert. This makes me excited to fly overseas especially to the west. I wonder how it feels like to see trembling :SMILY26: passengers the moment you walk inside the plane LoL

salam sis what is a K9,if you don't mind? I apoligize for my ignorance:)

ASA,

K-9 refers to a variety of entries, most related to dogs. The term originated in the military, where designations such as G-2 are common, making K-9 a rare official pun, being similar to "canine". The term, originally referencing war dogs, has since carried over to police, and sentry and assistance dogs as well.

They are commonly used to refer to police dogs.

I have to fly internationally every four months when I go home for break from med school. In the States they are very polite and I am rarely choden for a random seach. But here on the island I am searched every single time I am flying out. Sometimes I am actuakky taken aside twice, taken to the restroom , and made to remove my hijab.

Once they see I am not hiding a nuclear missile under my hijab they let me go. :SMILY335: So far that means I've been searched 4 times in the last year. Once I had a lady asked to be moved to another seat when she realized we were seat mates....which was great because then I could stretch out and sleep.

i get master degree in aerospace engineering, it s nothing to do with flying, but a muslim with a such degree is so WANTED BY FBI. i live in canada and once i went to usa throught border (quebec-vermont) i was arrested for more than 2 hours, the bus left me and they called a taxi to drop me into next station and guess what, i am not allowed to LEAVE usa in any other gate. which mean i have to leave usa throught (quebec-vermont) BY BUS and go to to usa officers to show them my passport that i am leaving...it was so stupid stuff...none can beleive this.

PS: the guys in the usa border ar not funny, don t never and ever try to make a joke.

Yikes I am sorry to hear that. What a hassle that you always have to go through that same gate.My family and I accidently went over the Canadian border while visiting Vermont. Don't ask how lol...Well that day my dad forgot his greencard, but the border people were really nice and let us back in the U.S. All he said was look my wife is american and those are my two kids and voila we were back in the US
