Thoughts of President Ahmadinejad?

Asalaamalikum,

After getting blood hounded by the media and Islamophobics at the University of Columbia, what do you guys think of President Ahmadinejad? I certainly think he is the only Muslim leader I know that stands up against the West. He's got my 2 thumbs up for logically answering their questions in a short period of time and under so much pressure and scrutiny by the West.

Excerpts from his speech

On the Holocaust:

Why is it that the Palestinian people are paying the price for an event they had nothing to do with?

On Holocaust deniers:

My question was simple: There are researchers who want to approach the topic from a different perspective. Why are they put into prison? Why isn't it open to all forms of research?

On Israel as a Jewish state:

We are friends of all the nations. We are also friends with the Jewish people. There are many Jews in Iran living peacefully with security ... in our constitution and our laws and the parliamentary elections for every 150,000 people we get one representative in the parliament. For the Jewish community one-fifth of this number they still get one independent representative in the parliament... What we say is that to solve this 60-year problem, we must allow the Palestinian people to decide about its future for itself.

On nuclear research:

Some big powers create a monopoly over science and prevent other nations in achieving scientific development as well. This, too, is one of the surprises of our time. Some big powers do not want to see the progress of other societies and nations... Regretfully, they have not been trained to serve mankind.

On 9/11:

If the root causes of 9/11 are examined properly - why it happened, what caused it, what were the conditions that led to it, who truly was involved, who was really involved - and put it all together to understand how to prevent the crisis in Iraq, fix the problem in Afghanistan and Iraq combined.

The brother speaks his mind, and in this country, that is a crime within itself. I live in New York and to see all the media coverage and mean statements for a man who only speaks the truth. We know who the real evil ones are, and its definitely NOT him. May Allah reward him for not being afraid to speak out on what is right and the truth.:hijabi:

Salaam,

I take serious issue with his questioning around "holocaust deniers." I have seen books published and rallies done on this and trust me, they are not arrested or suppressed. (Though part of me wishes they were) My grandmother (may she rest in peace) survived concentration camps and watching her family systematically killed. So when I hear people claiming it never happened I just want to hit them with a bat.:angryred:

I also have a classmate here who is Jewish and from Iran and he has painted a very different picture. Yes theya re given their "token" representative but for all intents and purposes they are second clas citizens. Even his fellow non-Jew Iranis say life for a Jew is very hard in Iran.

I feel about this president much like I feel about any political figure....not one of them can be trusted. Given the politcal climate today and the amount of corruption found in any government I say toss the whole lot of 'em!

What I admire about him is the same as you he is the only leader to stand up against the west, he has never denied the holocaust only said that more research needed to be done on the figure of 6 million jews killed, remember more that 12 million died, why is it only focused on the Jews?

Furthermore, I find it rather strange that it is actually illegal to question the validity of the holocaust in germany, why wouldnt you want to insure the correct history is told and the correct numbers are given?

I find it even more strange how the holocaust and the word anti semetic is used everytime there is a criticism of Israel, or the Jews it seems to be overly used to cover the tragedy the israelis are doing to the palestinians.

Furthermore the attention the holocaust gets as opposed to similar tragedies like that of the 7 million cambodians slaughtered in the 70's is suspicious. What makes thier tragedy more important to receive endless documentaries, books, films and the only tax payers museum in the US (the holocaust museum in DC) than any other tragedy? In my humble oinion it is a way to sway public opinion and to keep the public deaf dumb and blind to the zionists happenings in israel. ALlah knows best.

Assalam,am with you there bro!!!what more can i say... at least Iran is a society that is based on morals and religious principles,it is not up to me to judge their theology...(which i think is wrong obviously)but respect! every time a Muslim nation tries to strive for some progress for some advancement ,they label it as evil !!!We have to keep in mind that everything that is going on in this particular chapter is related to geopolitical strategies!Europe has become too dependent from from Russia (GAS PROM...etc)it is searching to diversify it`s sources, the Russians have huge oil and Gas resources and they are even buying European Telecommunication company and holding considerable shares in others, they are are actually monopolising the whole energy market in Europe ,which makes the Eu in this case quite dependent and per se oppressable .And who says Russia Says also China. just remember the toys scandal recently........a regime change in Iran would be quite beneficial for the western nation alliances ,they just replace it as usual by another puppet government and there you go they can build that long awaited pipeline from the middle east all along Iran through their loved and at the same time hated Kemalist Turkey Bingo!if that so called UN security council is devided it is not out of love and compassion also!the words of the IRAnian president MR Ahmadinijad are full of wisdom and beautiful preaching but how can you make anybody listen to them or understand them if everybody is busy having the second car before having kids?the holiday house or the chalet in the mountain before marrying?in a world where everyday hundred thousands of children are being denied then right to be born because mommy needs another pair of designer shoes instead of buying
Pampers or milk ...etc!however globalisation in this case can be a benefit and a curse at the same time competition will bring people in the west to be more humble ,maybe more thoughtful more discerning,as if they were fasting without fasting, just like the fasting person they eat with their eyes and buy much more than they acctually need, but they are waiting for something ,they do no know what it is yet, the maghrib adhan is sounding louder and louder it is the sound of islam to remind them to be satisfied with what they have and say alhamdulullah , it will help them keep their greed under control! !because the times of abundance are curving their backs ,even in the west the rich is getting richer !and the poor although not poorer but more numerous the need for evasion the need for answer will be sounding louder and louder!the spiritual renaissance of the west will be with Islam finally after 1400 years kadrullah and to what christians fail to realise was ,the first attempt to reform Christianity and pull it`s head out of the guillotine.... islam would have finally achieved it`s goal of calling the whole humanity to the worship of one god!and alhamdullullah without any sword but through their own weapons ,Medias, marketing, publicity whether good or bad Islam fits and will fit everywhere and for all times to come, when everything is publicised even the private lives of high ranking politicians...lol so they can certainly not await for Muslims to keep their religion private !and that is good for the propagation of Islam, because there one thing Muslims are good at and it is the deprivatisation of religion!the sens of community, brotherhood, warmth and belonging are a real magnet for folks victims of alienation through the shape of their own social and political individualistic agenda!on the other hand globalisation means also mobility ,the mixing of sexes(ikhtilat) and the obsessiv culte of images and myths which maybe a little impressive and attracting for some ignorant "Muslim"who finds himself trapped into a polarized
world between hell and heaven and it is up to us to Dawah in the muslims countries also, so that both hell and heaven are not mistaken and find their right place in the hearts and minds of our cultural "muslim" brother inschallah!i wish that more presidents and leaders of the muslim ummah would make such humanistic and universal statements like the president of Iran, there is a lot to do in our world we just need to convince that it is not through charity or benefit concerts...etc that 800million people a day would stop hungering but it is through the saying of rassulullah sallah :saw: ""none of you will have faith until he wishes for his brother what he would wish for himself"if we can make it little by little to be in the walls of every "UN"building in the world, and in the mind of every human being, than we can say that we would have lived for something!may Allah swt be pleased with every muslim going that path, may he make me the first one to follow his command the last one to close my heart and hands for him and his people, and forgive me anything i might have said out of genuine ignorance or naivity.ameen

ASA,

Brother JustOneofMillion - that's probably the longest paragraph I have ever seen in my life haha. Maybe your "Enter" button is malfunctioning and doesn't work any more haha. Luv ya bro :)

Sister ShyHijabi- my condolences goes out to you and your grandmother. I think Ahamadinejad or anybody else should have the right to research whether the Holocaust occurred or not. I'm not saying it didn't happen or it did happen, but why do we act like savages about someone pursuing to find the truth. If I don't believe in something, I'm going to go and research it myself.

(Paraphrased from LoveIslam1)

"With all due respect, I think alot of times the the suffering of the Holocaust is used as a politcal leverage to cover what is being done to the Palestinians, so while I was horribly upset for what they went through I am more upset about how the kuffar use that as an oppurtunity to cover other atrocities in the world being."

FYI - I really liked this post by GlobalPeace:

1) Holocaust denial is a crime in most Western countries and there are many notable examples of people who have been charged in this regard AND imprisoned such as Richard Verrall (Canada), David Irving (UK), Pierre Guillame (France), Roeland Raes (Belgium) etc. etc. etc. Some of the names mentioned served prison times; some didn't.....

Actually David Irving is sentenced to 3 years in Prison in Austria for denying Holocaust!

2) Many books have been banned under Holocaust denial laws!

3) Now look at the legal definition of Holocaust denial…Holocaust did not occur in the manner and to the extent described by current scholarship….

So I just have to question the number of dead people (not deny it completely) and be sent to prison for it!

4) The last point is, although in EU under regulation Joint action/96/443/JHA Holocaust denial is NOT a crime but the Judge can still optionally (on discretion) send a person to prison for three years for denying Holocaust!

So you can deny anything in Islam or Christianity; no problems….You question the “Extent” of Holocaust and you can be send to prison for upto 3 years at Judges discretion in any EU member state!

As many can see from my former threads i have a serious problems with the jews and the zionists BUTTTTTTT to deny the holocausst one of the worlds most SATANIC periods in history is disgusting.

an idi*t muslim brother or sister who stupidity denies this SATANIC period of history has no right to question this when while this took place we were still riding our on our camels in the middle east. ...far away from europe

I think president of Iran needs a history 101 course. Who gave him a stage anyways? His disagreement with Israel's establishment should not be used in Holocaust denial. I think people like him just like to get attention and to be admired for their "courage for standing up." Horrors of the holocaust are known, as Muslims we should not deny them for political reasons. Thousands if not millions of just children were killed...... that's a fact. Speaking the truth is a part of muslim identity.

Because of this "courageous" man who can "stand up to the west," people compare muslims to nazis, May Allah save us. Look at the pictures of his Iranian national guards or Lebanese Hezbollah who gesture nazi salutes, have nazis become whom these "muslims" immitate? :astag:

The 2nd World war caused the death of 60 million HUMANS. Those concentration camps were not built just for the jews. There were gypsies, homosexualls, "terrorists" (enemy of the state) and dark skinned people killed in there.
The Holocaust, today, is getting abused as an excuse for more war.
It gives one group of people better rights and better treatment. I think thats not ok. Everybody should be threated equal.

"who can stand up to the west "... I guess those saudi arabs who kiss bush on the mouth are better. Or Musharaf who kills muslims and destroys islam in his country is a better leader.

Salaam,

Very funny akhi LOL

Hate is such a strong word - I'm sure if he was just an ordinary person and you had a cup of tea with him, you would enjoy his company. How can you hate someone for an ideology they hold? I guess that's when the power of the media kicks in.

To the critics of Ahmedinajad

The Fox New TV (US) asked the Iranian President Ahmede Najad;
"When you look into the mirror in the morning what do you say to yourself"?

He answered: I see the person in the mirror and tells him "Remember, you are no more than a small servant, ahead of you today is the heavy responsibility, and that is to serve the Iranian nation".

And this was how the broadcaster introduced him.
Ahmedi Nijad, the Iranian President who astonished many when he first reached to the office of the Presidency by donating all the high valued Iranian carpets to one of the mosques in Tehran by replacing them with the low cost ordinary carpets.

He observed that there was a huge extravagant langue for receiving and welcoming the VIPies and he ordered it to be closed and asked the protocol office to arrange for an ordinary room instead with the wooden chairs, though more impressive in fact...!

On many instances he joins the cleaning staff of the municipality for cleaning the streets in the area where his home and the Presidency office locates.
Under his authority whenever he appoints any minister to his post he gets a signed document from him with many points, particularly highlighting that he shall remain poor and that his personal and his relatives accounts will be watched and the day he leaves the ministry shall be with dignity, and therefore it is not lawful for him or his relatives to take any advantage of his office.

First of all he declared himself all the "Big" wealth and property he owned was a Peugeot 504 car, model 1977, an old small house inherited from his father forty years ago in one of the poorest zones in Tehran . His accounts with a zero balance and the only money comes in to his a/c was from his salary from the university as a lecturer with an amount of US$ 250 only. For your information the President still lives in that same house.

This is all what he owns; the president of one of the world's important countries; strategically, economically, politically and with regard to its oil and defense.

He even doesn't take his personal salary with the argument that all the wealth belongs to the nation and he is the safeguard over it.
One of the things that impressed the staff at the presidency is the bag the president brings with him every day, which contains his breakfast; some sandwiches or bread with olive oil and cheese prepared by his wife and eats and enjoys it with all happiness, While he stopped all the deliveries of the special food used to come for the president.

One of the other things he changed was his personal carrier "the presidents Aircraft" to a cargo aircraft in order to save the spending from the public treasury and he ordered that he will be flying with the ordinary airline in the economic class.

He organizes meetings every now and then with all the ministers to know their activities and efficiency and he closed down the office of the manager of the president and any minister can enter to his office with out any permission. He also stopped the welcome ceremonies like the red carpet, the photo session or any personal advertisement or respect of any kind while visiting any place in the country.

Whenever he has to stay in any of the hotels he asks them to make sure not to give him a room with any big bed because he doesn't like to sleep on beds but rather likes to sleep on the ground on a simple mattress with a blanket.

Does any of such manners and practices shows any disrespect for the high post of the president??? ??

Refer to some of the photographs which I have attached.
The Iranian president is sleeping in the guest room of his house after getting away from his special guards who follow him wherever he goes and photo is taken by his small brother according to the Wifaq Newspaper which published this photo and the next day the photo was published in most of the world's newspapers and magazines and particularly the Americans.

During the prayer you can see that he is not sitting in the first row!!!!

jazakallahu khair for this brother,i have seen a report about him and was astonished !what an example of conduct seriously i mean,i have seen in the report it said exactly the same thing,we miss having such simple and humble leaders, and if he is the son of the revolution......i do not even remember seeing any leader of any nation act like this, and was told that during a U.N summit last year he did not want to sit in the restaurant on the tables of other world leaders because there was alcohol!mashallah............some others did... and some even send their wives to meet with high officials of other nations!
Thanks for posting once again as we may have some aspiring baby leaders on TTI who knows? a good example.

Assalam Alleikum,

You did not tell me anything I didn't know. You missed my main point that his denial of holocaust is ridiculous. I know well that not just jews were in the concentration camps, but he denies holocaust existence, and when he was ridiculed on the stage, he said that holocaust was exaggerated. Even if holocaust is abused, it does not mean we should deny it. I have to agree with Columbia University president that only ignorant and uneducated believe in non-existence of holocaust. Whether it was to such great extent or whether it is used to justify wars IS a different topic.
Who said that Saudi or Pakistani presidents doing right things? Switching topics brother ? We were not talking about Saudis or Pakistani presidents and what they do, if you noticed this thread is about Iranian president.

:wasalam:

Ahmed ibn Ibrahim

alhamdulilah
Asalaamu Alaikum, my dear respected Brothers and Sisters,

A part of my heritage ties to the German people, about two generations before World War 2 and the senseless slaughter of nearly sixty-million people. Nonetheless, my family has always been sensitive to this issue, and I strongly empathyze with all parties involved as various links of my family tree tie to each of them; One of the blessings of being Canadian, I suppose.

60, 000, 000 human beings dead, and for what? So that those with the highest degree of influence and power could have their way, manipulating the rest of us with clever and attractive ideas to undermine our wits, and turn humanity against itself. This isn't the first time that this sort of stunt has been pulled in our history, and unfortunatey it wasn't the last.

"Order out of Chaos" has long been a guiding light for these groups of people seeking power and influence. Create the chaos, so that you can establish the order that best serves your desires. It's actually a hallmark of the FreeMasons; You'll see it written in Latin under many of their curious coats-of-arms. And so here we are, finding ourselves in a self-created chaotic time when its near impossible to tell friend from foe, when every politician has just the right words for you (depending on your inclination) and when every group but your own is suspect of evil.

The point is this: These are murky times we live in. Don't trust what you see or hear at face-value. Only ~10% of the total WW2 deaths were that of Jews, and if you look carefully at the pre-existing conditions that the Jews/Germans were in it isn't hard to understand how the generally welcoming and warm German people turned to violence against these people who they'd invited into their country. Did you know that (just prior to WW2) the Jews of the world had organized a global boycott of all german products, forcing the Germans to either let them back into positions of power or to starve to death (as many did). Did you know that during WW1 England the the Jews of the world signed a document called the Balfour Declaration in which England promised Palestine to the Jews IF they could get America into the war to defeat the Germans. This Balfour Declaration was presented at the Paris Peace Conference of 1919, when victors were claiming their spoils and the conquered were promising thier repairations, and it was here that Germany realized for the first time why they lost WW1 - which they would have no doubt won, had it not been for the Americans/Jews. After Paris, the German people felt betrayed by the Jews and made them into social pariahs, firing them from their government positions and other influential stations. The Germans were devastated after WW1, having to pay several generation's worth of repairations, unable to keep an army, unable to farm the lands that were traditionally their's, unable to trust many of their own citizens... And it didn't take long for the Boycott to come in, squeezing them further, humiliating them deeper.

10% of WW2 deaths and yet they're virtually ALL we focus on. As Ahmedinijad has said, we need to be thinking about WW2 and its consequences from different angles. And you know what? I can think of several other global tragedies in which even MORE people were killed in much more brutal ways. I mean, think about it: The Jews in the camps were virtually starved as they were being held, but when it came time for them to be executed how were they killed? Gas champers, fire champers, and firing squad accounted for nearly all of the Jews killed. Yes these methods are disgusting, but concider how quickly these people would have died: Most would be dead in less than a minute. Now, let's look at Ruanda, or even Cambodia where upwards of 7 million were killed in the genocides there, and how they died. Women would have their breasts cut off and be left to bleed for death; Pregnant women would have their wombs slit open to be left to bleed to death; Men and children would oftentimes be skinned alive, a process taking upwards of 30 minutes; Young girls and women would be raped to death, a process sometimes taking DAYS; And of course, many were killed by the sword and gun.

It is difficult to guage which act of violence and humiliation is worse than another, but I personally feel I'd rather die in a gas champer than have my breasts cut off (if I had them) and be left to die slowly - And certainly there have been genocides where more millions were killed than the Jews in WW2.

Yet which of these human tragedies were the Palestinians responsible for? It seems to me that the Jews were more responsible for WW2 or the deaths therein than any Palestinian was. And certainly they have milked that tradegy for all its worth thereafter, and have surely prospered since, in terms of land, monitary influence, political influence, and now any time someone questions the Zionists they can bring up all of those horrific images of death and destruction of WW2 in a single phrase: "Anti-semite!"

I like Ahmedinijad and the things that he says (he's a beautiful speaker, logical, witty, and intelligent) but I do not trust the system which he represents. "Wiping Isreal off the map" in a violent way would only breed more violence, and the Shia religious ideology which he stands for is dangerous and unislamic. I've read many articles on life in Iran, and there is much fitnah going on there, much misguidance and mispractice. I trust and admire the man, just not the devil inside him.

Allah knows best.

WaAlaikum Salaam
