Children committing the unspeakable....

Please read this story...I cannot believe that young boys can even have knowledge about how to commit such a crime.....I guess there IS support for my husband's arguement that little girls do not play with little boys.....

I grew up and played with many boys in my neighborhood but I guess times are different now......

OMG... How...? What on earth is going on? I am so lost for words... 8 year old.. they must be exposed to a lot at that age to commit such a crime.. OMG I am still in awe..

I know....I can't believe it either.....I guess I will take my husband's lead in guarding our girls. I guess the age of "maturity" is growing earlier and earlier. One technician that I used to work with said he had to do a job at a Middle school once and he couldn't tell the difference between students and female teachers. He said he saw one girl, thought for sure she was teacher, went to talk to her and was shocked when he realized she was 12! Something chemical is going on in our world....girls are starting at 8 and 9 years old in some cases, able to get pregnant. It's crazy.........I guess it is happening to boys too.

this is largely the product of a secular society that allows immoral acts to pervade ever facet of society. Its more common to see that little children at the age of 13 and 14 are beginning to engage in intercourse and oral in middle school moving up onto high school and so on...for instance children at that age are influenced by what they watch on tv and what they hear from friends...its disgusting but understandable and the result of freedom to the extreme. I remember when i was in grade 6 my classmates were already kissing and making out!!!! and i live in Canada by the way. So its gradually becoming worse....

Yeah, kids in my 5th and 6th grade were chasing girls and kissing and making out but you would get a reputation, not a good one, if you went too far.....I mean I was in high school in the early 90's and we didn't talk so much trash about girls in serious relationships, but we were very nasty to the ones that got around.......I think the average then for "going all the way" was atleast 16......NOT 12, 9 or 8..........not that I am saying it is acceptable of 16 year olds but atleast they were old enough to be responsible for any negative outcomes.......but RAPE at 8 or 9.......how sick and awful is that!

Very disturbing SubhanAllaah. Check this out, I couldn't believe that kids could actually think about killing themselves.

Girl who killed self lamented family’s poverty in diary

This issue made me ask as we all know that suicide is something that Allaah swt could not forgive - but since this girl is not yet in her adoloescence and is not accountable for anything, will she be saved after killing herself? :shymuslima1:

Very sad. Happens all the time though, that feeling of helplessness and despair. And it happens for dumber reasons than this girls. I admit growing up I threw out the suicide idea several times for various reasons....the fact she did it without ever mentioning before hand shows that it was something she was intent on doing. A lot of times though youth will say they want to kill themselves and all it is is a cry to be heard, to be seen and paid attention too, to validate their pain and fears.

Do mosques in America ever do any outreach to troubled youths.....not just in the the muslim community but all inclusively? It would be a great program.

Hi Diane

If that news shocked you then THIS ONE might make you fall off your chair.

My husband told me that when he was in Kindergarten in tunisia, a 9 year old girl "gave him a lesson in the birds and the bees" in school......so I guess it happens in all walks of life.

the main problem today, especially in this country (America)is that the parents have lost control of their children. What ever happened to a good old fashion beating. That is the main issue, children need discipline, and guidance which the parents of today are not giving. Too much t.v., video games etc. Children have too many rights in this country, and that is why America is going down hill. What a shame. Parents do not have Allah in their heart, therefore they do not teach their children about Allah (SWT). Muslim children are well disciplined, you will never hear about such acts with muslim children. Why? because we teach our children right from wrong, and whenever they need a good spanking, we give it to them.

If we do not instruct and guide our children towards Allah(SWT), we will have to give account later.

Lets continue our good effort with our children. Inshallah.

Exactly dianek..

:astag:. Its true that children grow up much faster nowdays specially those children who are poor, living in fear, not accepted by others. The society, and their hardships led them to appear teenagers 'physically and mentally' although they are only children.

When children skip important stages of their lives, the affect of it will appear later on when they are adults.

May Allah (swt) help the children of the world, and return their innocence again..

Wassalamu Alykom..

Well, now we get arrested if we "beat" our kids......but you are right! My parents never thought twice about beating me when I needed it.....

I understand why I was told to not play with opposite gender. Girls are gold and precious and parents need to protect. There is such thing as been over protecting. what is this world comin to?

This made me really sad and reminded me so many similar stories in Russia ,when school is asking money for the school projects(lik buying paint to fix the school floors and furniture ) and parents cannot afford it ,and what those kids do ,they kill themselves:girl3:

Ive seen so much poverty in my country and the horrible consequences of that ,when so many people I knew commited suicide because of that...
Its just horrible ,every time I remember it .

Salaam,

Wow, you think beating children will cure this problem? I do not. Violence will not teach a child to value their body and mind. I once read a saying, "Children spell love T-I-M-E." Why not just make sure you are involved in every aspect of your child's life? Know where they are at all times and who their friends are. Be teachers helper in your kid's classroom and involve yourself with any extra cirricular activities they participate in.

This little girl was playing with three boys and evidently they were unattended by any parents. Where were the parents? SO we have three boys without supervision and one vulnerable girl. Given the incidence of child molestation and kidnapping in America there is NO way my child would be left unsupervised at this age.

Please rememer that rape is not about sex but about power over a victim. So the suggestion to use violence to prevent violence makes no sense. What I see here are four children who have lazy parents and never took the time to teach the three boys anything about morals or humanity.

You are correct. But when warranted, I see nothing wrong with a good tale beating....I know those lessons were the ones I remember the most from my father. I don't feel that I was abused at all. I learned right from wrong....I am 32 now and I still try not to do anything my parents dislike. Spare the rod, spoil the child. My parents were also always around so I couldn't get away with much, not that i didn't try to push the envelope. But I still can't imange an 8 or 9 year old knowing WHAT TO DO to perform this act.
