WISDOM TEETH

:salam2:
i have my two inferior teeths growing ( and it's a little painfull)
i live in europe and all people around me have extracted them
they say these teeths can cause jaw bone deformation and that these teeths are useless
even when i was a kid the dentist told me to take an appointement to delete them

but what i don't understand is why is like that? if Allh SWt created these teeths, it means they aren't useless and logically they shouldn't be extracted

and like my parents, both of them have them and they jaw and teeths are perfect Mashallah,

but here everyone tells me that we have to extact them and there isn't enough space for them to grow and that they are useless etc....

thanks for anwsering,

wassalam

Wa alaikumussalaam warahmatullaah,

I have two of them and it's just perfectly fine. Maybe it's not good for some and ok for some.

Yes I had as many as 4 extracted. The doctor shows that there wasnt space for my jaw to accomodate those teeths. As the sister said maybe it's ok for some and for some it needs to be taken out. Kind of like the appendix??

Wisdom teeth (according to my dentist) were given to us because in the old old days, people didn't have dentists to help them care for their teeth. People would most likely lose a few teeth in their lives, and these "extra" teeth that came in later during adult-hood, would replace them.

Since nowadays, we have much better dental health care, many people do not lose teeth - therefore, there is not space for these extra teeth. Some people keep them (if their jaw bone is big enough) but a large number of people have them removed.

I had mine removed because they were underneath my last molars and were pushing all my teeth (the roots had grown into my jawbone and nasal cavity). If you need them out, you need them out - don't wait for them to grow into your bones or mess up your other teeth (by pushing them to make room).

Asalaamu alaikum,

My wisdom teeth on both sides bother me. I deal with the pain due to the fact that I don't go to the doctor or the dentist. Allah has kept me safe and healthy so far. I just wish he would please take this pain away please.:blackhijab: The one on my left side has been bothering me lately. Don't follow my example and go to the doctor and take care of your health. If your have enough courage to go and let a dentist dig around in your mouth u have more courage than me.:SMILY139:

Wisdom or Pain!!

Add me to the list of "wisdom teeth victims".

Should i consult a dentist or is there any 'i-can-try-that-magical-treatment'!!
May be there isn't.

My jaw accommodated one but the new one on the left is bothering me.

OUCH!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - it really hurts.

I am real lucky because my wisdon teeth caused me no pain at all
At lot of people have them removed these days because there is no room
You can chew on cloves apparantly that helps!!
Good luck

Salam,
Its probably not a good idea to keep your wisdom teeth if they are causing you pain and this goes for everyone because it could be an infection. I had an infection and an impacted wisdom tooth and if your not careful many times infections from your mouth can have consequences on your entire health...also your appendix does technically have a function its a secondary immune tissue, its not so important that if you lost it you'd be in trouble but it does have a function...I don't think suffering like this is going to benefit you in anyway really because having been in that situation when my infection flaired up all i could think about was the pain and discomfort, and its not that scary just have them put you under and before you know it their out and its done with you have a couple days where your a little sore but but better then a lifetime

The wisdom teeth are part of the evolution process of human beings. You can of course explain it by some other ways - if you deny evolution theory.
