Salaam sister,

Could you give a bit more detail? Did they all convert at one time? Where did they convert, the mosque? I want to hear the entire story as it gives me hope that my family will do the same one day.

Wasalaam

~Sarah

Oh my word i cant believ i typed all that and it said im not logged in???!!! wah?!

Basically....we dont have a masjid near us. I have a male friend who im very close too, even b4 i converted...still working on the no males allowed bit....but he is always around my house....we would talk and chill and he helped me read and pray....Parents saw i was easily pleased, happy go lucky, all around smiles and they wanted to know more. My parents arent one of those who listen to propaganda, we dont listen to news much! they were intriuged shud i say, as to what or who was behind my sudden mood change...they did think it was a boyfriend, and when i said Islam they werent even too shocked! lol so i was shocked and i would cry and say i dont feel ryt doing this without u(2 my parents) but my frend would always be popping around and when i chat to him about this stuff he makes me open the Quran there and then so i dont change my own mind and we would pray...especially the 2nd surah..hes making me learn it by heart..Inshallah done the first page!lol...Well neway my mum who is the harsher and more loud/outspoken/nosey than my dad thought it was some ritual/tribal thing!so they were told to go clean themselves and my friends uncle who has a hafiz friend(leads prayers at their local masjid in ramadhan) came over and they said their shahada and we all prayed maghrib together..(parents jus 'actioned')..The hafiz stayed over,he doesnt live our local neway...and him and parents were up half the nyt debating!....My dad says when he feels at my stage...hes going to quit and study more and going to work for the masjid...lol caretaker..!

..but well im wishing, hoping, praying that Allah keeps them like this. I dont even care if they never learn anything, as long as they dont die non-muslim...As long as they know theyre basics of Islam and are kind human beings i dont care what they do or say or ask...

jazakallah all bro/sis who replied. I hope my story/explanation was clear. Im still jumping up n down evrytime i think about it so it hard to think what i want to say lol

i dont really know what to say except i really am happy to be with the family i am. Hope Allah makes all their wishes come true now (esp dads) they deserve it. Im not worried about them turning away coz of propaganda....im worried about my relatives! Theyre the 1 that are tryna make my family 'see sense'! whatever that is. dont think it exists!

Please pray for us and other muslims/non muslim who are struggling in their life.I jus hope Allah gives every1 happiness that they deserve and more. I couldnt have asked for a better thing! All i was told to do was astagfar and i cant believ the outcome!

may Allah bless my *frend*..Hope he stays happy and gets everything in this world and the next! Hes the most deserving human ive seen. Always there for any1 whether they love or hate him..he just gets on with what he has to do...wish i could b like him.. Hope allah has a special place for him in Jannah inshallah

Allah guide us and forgive us.Ameen

Assalaamu'Alykum,

Masha'Allah!

How beautiful, i can understand to a certain extent the happiness that you are feeling, but not fully because only you have the feeling.

May Allah bless you, your family and protect you. Ameen.

I will make Du'a for your family - that Allah keeps you safe and firm upon Islam. How wonderful - now i realise what you mean about not being able express in words, the excitement, relief and happiness, it probably ends up in crying for joy.

Allahu'Akbar.

May Allah increase your family and us all in beneficial knowledge.

Alhamdulilah

P.S: Always try to remember, something may happen which we all may consider it as a bad thing, but we don't realise that it could constitute in being a beneficial thing for us. I am sure you understand, but personally and i am sure everyone may have a similar feeling - until you can comphrend something like this, you don't fully realise the beauty of it - that a bad ocurrence could actually lead to a good thing. Subhan'Allah. Insha'Allah that made sense.

Walaykum Salam
