Salam brothers and sisters. I am new on the forum and also new as Muslim. I really started performing Salat at the end of July 2008. Before that I was counting myself among the catholic christians, but in the bottom of my heart, I knew that something was wrong. Allah is the Greatest and when He decides to show you the Right Way, nothing can be against His Decision. Allah gives me the love of reading, and He gives me the grace to know the books and video of Shaih Ahmed Deedat. I have learnt a lot from Ahmed Deedat about Islam and Christianity. I received The Holy Quoran from a Muslim colleague who knew that I was christian, it was a day before Ramadan 1998. I will never forget this colleague." You look like more a Muslim, that is why I offer you The Holy Quoran, take care of It." this is what he said to me that day. The Holy Quoran was in a plastic sachet, when I reached home, I take it with a lot of fear, and put it at the head of my bed. I knew that I didn't have the right to open it until I become Muslim. Before that I needed to learn and really know what it was about. Today I am proud to say that Allah loves me a lot , because He has allowed me to be part of the muslim community, the only thing that makes me cry sometimes, is that I would have liked to be one of this community since the day my colleague offered me The Holy Quoran. But who knows Allah's Will for His creatures? I found this website when I was looking for informations about Hijab on youtube. May Allah help me to be a good muslim and to spread Islam around me. Sister, from you introduction, I highlighted a statement of yours. Allaah is great. Without opening the Qur'an you had you are guided by Allaah. He was so merciful to you. Also, what I would like to advise you that it is wrong that a non-Muslim should not touch the Qur'an as well as it is wrong that a Muslim without WUDU should not touch the Qur'an. The Qur'an is the final testament Allaah sent to the Mankind. How it could be kept aside only for Muslims.
Therefore, do not hesitate to ask your non-Muslim friends when you are giving copies of Qur'an to them. Ask them to read the Qur'an, there is no harm reading it even if they are not Muslims.
Just for a clarification. Enjoy your stay here, and write whatever you think is suitable.

Thank you very much Bro for this clarification, I totaly agree with your point of view. I found out later that The Holy Quoran was UNIVERSAL ( For everybody because God (Allah) is the Creator of all of us). It is us, Muslims who have the duty to teach people around us that The Holy Quoran is for every body on this earth, not only for Muslims or Arabic people. I have been told by Muslims that it was haram to touch the Quoran if you are not Muslim. Even in Dubai where I am living, I was very shocked to read , writen on the glass behind which the Holy Coran was displayed (in the biggest french shop in the Mall of Emirates): " Do not touch if you are not Muslim". When leaving Durban (South Africa) for Dubai, I have promised to one muslim sister that as soon as my plane lands I was going to embrace Islam because the fact that God was sending me to the land of The Prophet (PBUH) must have a deep signification. But I must said that that first contact with The Quoran in that shop slowed down my enthusiasm. I will never thank enough the nice people who take their time to create websites, where we can learn freely, easily The TRUE ISLAM. May God bless them. Sometimes I come now at the conclusion that people who spread that The Holy Quoran must be only touched by Muslims know that the Holy Quoran is the light of the life Here and Hereafter, they know that The Holy Quoran is the solution to all kind of human being problems, that is why they want to keep the secret for themselves. Thank God, I read The Holy Quoran(French version) now and I am so happy to discover how much It is helping me to understand more about virgin Mary (Maryam), Jesus (Messiah Issa) and so on. I found in the Quoran the answers to many many many questions I had about christianity, today I can say with no doubt that I HAVE FOUND THE WAY. Glory be to My Lord.
