Bismillah,

Assalamualaykum dear all

ok, here is a recipe of a sweet dish known as TRIFLE

Servings : 5/6 people (Insha'Allah)
Preparation time: 45 mins (roughly)
Level of difficulty: piece of cake

Ingredients:
Halal jelly (strawberry flavour or your favourite one)
custard (preferbaly ready made)
tin fruit
madeira cake
whipped cream
sprinkle/or flake
fresh strawberries

Method:
All you have to do is boil the water for the jelly, once boiled; put the jelly in a nice dish and pour the boiled water over the jelly. You should now put the tin fruit within the jelly. Let it cool down and then pop it in the fridge so it could form into a nice jelly base.

Why waste time:
Whilst that is cooling down, you can prepare the other things. You will need to whipp the whipp cream, and i mean literally WHIPP it...with a wisk...lol, until it turns into a nice, thick cream (this will take a bit of time, be patient Insha'Allah). Also if you're going to make the custard with your very own hands, then prepare that also; because you would need it to cool down before you layer it. However, i would advise you to get a ready made custard as it is much quicker that way Insha'Allah. The ones in the carton would do, Ambroise for example. Anyways, once the cream is whipped and the custard is ready, slice the madeira cake and put that on top of the jelly, gently. Put the custard as a layer over the madeira cake and pop it in the fridge for a few mintutes. When you take the dish out, say like after 10 mins, put the cream over the custard but becareful not to mix the two, gently does it...lol. Now pop the dish into the firdge once again to let it settle.

The Fun Part:
Ok now, cut the fresh strawberries in half and if you're using flake (as in Cadbury's chocolate flake, then break that into mini flake pieces). Take the dish out of the fridge, place the strawberries gently over the cream; following the shape of your dish (e.g. if you have a round dish, put the strawberries as a border around the dish). Lastly, sprinkle the chocolate flakes over the cream, alternatively; you can use coloured sprinkle to sprinkle over the top, but please make sure you check the ingredients of it first Insha'Allah.

Assalamu Alaykum, JazakAllahu Khayr. Especially for the Tip Top :) or did you mean Top Tip ? TipTop was an icelolly I would buy when I used to go school. Anyone heard of them? Not particularly healthy.

I really like Trifle and would make as a child. Now, I have not made one for very long time. I normally just buy from shops. Trifle is nice.
