I have been watching these so called "ex-Muslim" conversion videos on youtube and everyone I have seen so far is bogus. First of all, if these people were ever Muslims(submitted to Allah) and had basic knowledge of Islam, these morons would not be saying things like "no matter how much I prayed to Allah or Muhammad, I couldn't get an answer". First I have to laugh at the way these dweeps pronounce "Allah" and how they pronounce the name of Rasulullah(saaws). This alone makes it seem strange already but there is more. What kind of Muslims prays to Muhammad(saaws)? If there are people like that, such are not Muslims but mushriks and even kafirs. To me such a person would be no different than any other mushrik. To someone completely naive, and unaware, this kind of stuff may fool such person and especially one who hates Islam as it is but it will not work on me and for anyone with sense. I am an ex-Christian, I don't lie about it, my family does not speak with me because I am Muslim, I knew my previous religion and I am of Iraqi Assyrian origin.
This means I know some things about Christian Arabs and other Christians who live and exist in Arabic majority countries. By looking at each of these videos, I could point out one after another that these people are liars, they are Christian Arabs who are not converts from Islam but actual Christians who happen to be Arab or speak the Arabic language. They try to fool the naive and those who are not aware and especially sincere westerners, but anyone honest and has love for truth will come to notice that. In my native country(Iraq) there exists an ancient Christian community. These people are not "ex-Muslims" but people who have been Christian before the time of Muhammad(saaws). The same goes for Coptic Egyptians, Palestinian Christians, Lebanese Maronites, etc. These are Christians and even identify as Arabs but they are not ex-Muslims. In fact the majority of these communities embraced Islam on their own throughout the centuries in Islamic history, and there are still many that do so.
In order for one to have been an "ex-Muslim" there must be a time the person was Muslim in first place. If the person never accepted Islam(Submission to the will of Allah), the person can not be an ex-Muslim. Being born Arab, Turkish, Kurdish, Pakistani, somali, etc does not make one a Muslim. Having a name like Yusef, Ibrahim, Ali, Muhammad, etc does also not mean the person is Muslim. As a teenager in Germany, I knew many Turkish and Arab friends and had they been really Muslim, I would have embraced Islam when I was 11 years old the day I questioned my priest and was told to "show respect" and my mom was asked "doesn't your son have manners" for simply being "too difficult". I am not saying that people don't convert to other religions but one has to be a Muslim first before one can be considered an "ex-Muslim". In reality, it is extremely hard to find a real Muslim who know his deen, practiced it and then said "I am going to be a Christian today or a Hindu". Sure there are those who don't know their religion, and they meet a girl of another religion, are offered money, visa, education, etc and they may convert since they are not worshiping Allah to begin with but that is not really an ex-Muslim.
For these deceivers on youtube, and these Middle Eastern Christians to pose as ex-Muslims or converts to Christianity, this proves their desperation, their dishonesty, and also their jealous and even hatred for Islam. I don't know of any Muslims who can't pronounce the Prophet's name or the name of the Creator. I don't know of any Muslims who pray to Muhammad unless they are not Muslim of course and I don't know any Muslim who doesn't even know basic and simple concepts in Islam. One of these clowns on there, who I could bet my life on was a Lebanese Maronite and I have a habit of recognizing people's ethnicity most of the time, he claimed to have been a "strict" Muslim for over 12 years, he supposedly read the Quran from cover to cover countless of times yet knew nothing of Isa(as). I found this interesting and he went on to shoot himself in the foot, as all liars do, when he said he happened to be at an hotel and saw a Bible on the desk. He opened it up, and read the first verse of whatever, strangely it happened to be John 3:16, and he was convinced this was the truth instantly and he pulled out his wallet and offered money for the Bible but the person told him he could have it for free. His response was "wow, so nice of you, cool" yet all I could do is laugh at how hard this clown was trying to pretend that he was a Muslim and converted to Christianity.
If this individual had done his homework correctly, he would have known not to act this foolish because even a child knows that every hotel has a Bible and one does not have to pay for them. The same junk could be said about every other video I saw on there. Everyone of them looked strange and fishy and there was always room for screw ups but at the same time Allah Subhana wa ta'ala exposes these kafirs to us and He has made it easy for me to recognize them. No Arab Christian or any Middle eastern Christian will ever be able to fool me or trick me with this issue. They may fool themselves, and those who have their mentality but they won't fool me thanks to Allah and they don't fool other Muslims neither.
I am glad that there were Muslims on there exposing them and they should always be exposed and humilated. If there was any good in them, Allah would have guided them but He guides whom He wills and they obviously are not being guided except astray. May Allah wa ta'ala increase our iman, make us better Muslims and guide us all to the Siratul Mustaqeem, amin.

Yes I also have come across some of such videos where it is shown how some ppl have denounced the faith of Islam and accept christianity or judaism. What a shamefull attempt to fool the muslims or newly revert people. You have rightly said that we can easily notice their shortcomings in pronouncing the basics of Islam. In one vedio the person was saying " Swan" instead of "Saum" (fast). So Alhamdolillah May Allah save us all from there tricks and misguidance. Ameen.:tti_sister:
