The thing about drivers licenses is that the manner in which they are created is totally outdated.
#1 - um, I haven't weighed what my drivers license says for YEARS (probably since HS) - they don't ask you specificially to update that when you renew your license.
#2 - they ask for eye color and print it on there - um, colored contacts anyone?
#3 - hair color - same thing; coloring hair has been popular since the 60s in the US (I mean beyond covering gray)
and finally #4 - who the heck looks like their drivers license photo anyway?!?! They have the worst photographic technique! My husband looks like he is bald and has no chin at all and about a 6-in beard that is only on his neck!!
Driver's licenses have only ever been minutely about identification, and more about government regulation (and probably money-raising as well).
I reitterated, they tried to pass a law like this in a couple states a few years ago, and none of them even got to the legislative voting stage before being shot down. You may not agree with the government, but there are enough people with common sense that tend to keep these things in check.

I was thinking of the real reason why they want to ban hijab in USA and other Western countries. I found no answer but their huge jealousy and grudge they bear against the modesty and purity of Muslim women.
Our purity, chastity and modesty agitate them and embitter their lifestyle. How can they bear the Muslim women wearing hijab which always reminds her of her honour, dignity, chastity,modesty and purity while many of their women and girls are competing in exposing their bodies and forsaking their modesty??!!!!!
How can they bear the covered Muslim woman who never allows any man other than her husband to touch her or even let her hear flirting words while they have no control over many of their playful women.
They are not fighting this scarf we put on our heads to please Allah. They are rather fighting the concept of modesty, purity and chastity which they can no longer bear because it always reminds them of how impure they are!!!

Actually i think the real reason they want to ban the hijab is that they want to drive muslims and Islam out of their countries.... In France when the banned it some muslims moved from there to the UK...
Muslims all over Europe and the US are going back to their religion and trying to practice the real Islam and this's what their objection is, just recently they banned German muslim teachers from wearing the hijab....
Actually i think the real reason they want to ban the hijab is that they want to drive muslims and Islam out of their countries.... In France when the banned it some muslims moved from there to the UK...

The proposed bills infringe on the rights of everyone. But, keep in mind America is a prison and they want conformity of the prisoners. They have ways of tracking people. It is time that Americans stand up to the zionistic warmongers. This too wil come and bite them where it hurts.

Walaykum wasalam. to answer your question, i would never take of my hijab even for a license. and many of the muslims of minnesota would not either as i know them. If they don't allow us to get our license just because we refuse to uncover their hair, then akhi they lose business and money not us. we can always walk or ride a bike or even take a bus....so they would be the ones at loss not us. by the way the brothers and sisters here gave me a great idea! i think i should go and talk to these people who want to ban the hijab, and i will ask them to ban the wigs, hair colors, and masks too if i get the chance inshaAllah. i'm sure they won't be able to respond to that. lol.

What' s there not to understand? Many of the Muslims in the west migrated from muslim lands because of the on going wars and because they needed a better living. and some like myself were brought here at an early age that we could not make a decision but just follow our parents. and then like at this moment i for a fact don't work...so i have no choice but to stay here. and besides i'm living here to educate myself, to spread da'wah, and to help reform my ummah and this is so far the only place i know that i could do that. unlike many places where you can't even speak or you get shot. :salam2:

Dear Muslim, we know all of these, we are not blind from it. but it's not easy to migrate from one place to another. not everyone can afford it. It was decreed that Muslims come here to live in usa and uk and everywhere else. There's no YOU YOU YOU, there's WE WE WE. We are all a part of this...and until we become ONE UMMAH THAT IS VERY STRONG we will not defeat teh enemies of islam. i'm assuming you probably live in a muslim land. not that im defending the west or anything but America sure has destroyed many muslim lands...but tell me ALL THESE PLACES YOU'VE MENTIONED ARE LEAD BY SO CALLED MUSLIM LEADERS, WHAT HAVE THEY AND THEIR CITIZENS DONE TO HELP STOP ANY OF THOSE MASSACRES....the answer absolutely nothing,all they've done is given support to the kuffar. just a thought my dear muslim. i know that it's wrong for us muslims to be living in the west because of the negativity and because of the fact that our taxes go to the funds of the kuffar...but there are also positive things that we muslims have learned, and one of those is the realization of our mistake to have come here in the first place, and secondly our realization of a need of a better ummah that in fact muslims are starting to wake up.
