Pray for my dad

Pray for my dad that he becomes a better person. Theres something really wrong about him.

He got angry and he just broke my glasses because he THOUGHT I broke his thing (some mind puzzle thinga-ma-jig). Im really scared for some reason even if it wasn't my fault ..I DIDNT BREAK IT!!!!.

Pray that he change for the better.

Ameen,ameen,ameen...He is in my prayers akhi fiAllah, Allah make him an understanding father and a kind one. Ameen
p.s. If your dad is a senior citizen akhi, well, we all need to expect these kind of behaviors from those who are aging and we need to be kind towards them...because they get angry, frastrated and blame alot, IT'S NOT BECAUSE THEY HATE YOU OR WANT TO HURT YOU but because that is just the way they've become as they aged. so, akhi bear with him as much as you can and inshaAllah, you will be rewarded greatly by Allah the most merciful.
brother, I thought I should share this verses with you since, they talk about parents and aging
وَقَضىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلّا تَعبُدوا إِلّا إِيّاهُ وَبِالوٰلِدَينِ إِحسٰنًا ۚ إِمّا يَبلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُما أَو كِلاهُما فَلا تَقُل لَهُما أُفٍّ وَلا تَنهَرهُما وَقُل لَهُما قَولًا كَريمًا ﴿٢٣(23) Your Lord has ordered you to worship none except Him, and to be good to your parents. If either or both of them attain old age with you, do not say: "Fie on you", nor rebuke them, but speak to them with words of respect.
وَاخفِض لَهُما جَناحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحمَةِ وَقُل رَبِّ ارحَمهُما كَما رَبَّيانى صَغيرًا ﴿٢٤(24) And lower to them the wing of humbleness out of mercy and say: 'My Lord, be merciful to them, as they raised me since I was little.'
رَبُّكُم أَعلَمُ بِما فى نُفوسِكُم ۚ إِن تَكونوا صٰلِحينَ فَإِنَّهُ كانَ لِلأَوّٰبينَ غَفورًا ﴿٢٥(25) Your Lord knows very well what is in your hearts. If you are good, He is forgiving to those who are penitent.

I don't know if aging has to do with him being like this....he was always hot tempered and not much of an understanding person......my mom is old to and she is not like my dad.

Assalamualaykum wa rahmatullaah,

Ofcourse all who read your post will certainly endeavour to make du'a for your father, may Allaah soften his heart Ameen and may Allaah grant you patience when dealing with him.

As his son though, you should know that nothing can replace the status of your own supplication for your father, it will do your father so much good in the hereafter if you supplicate for him and always continue to do so, some examples can be found in the Qur'aan as follows:

رَّبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ لِى وَلِوَٲلِدَىَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيۡتِىَ مُؤۡمِنً۬ا وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارَۢا​

​

"My Lord, Forgive me, and my parents, and him who enters my home as a believer, and all the believing men and women. And to the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers) grant You no increase but destruction. (71:28)

رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لِى وَلِوَٲلِدَىَّ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلۡحِسَابُ ​

​

"Our Lord, Forgive me and my parents, and (all) the believers on the Day when the reckoning will be established." (14:41)
