Sorry for being a bit of a bother but I got another question *runs away*

One of my non-muslim friends asked me

"Some people say that if a person doesnt live near a mosque they can say their declaration of belief at home, even without anyone being there with them.

I've been really thinking about it for a while but I'm not sure if it will count or not. As I dont know the prayers and how to pray yet, would it be okay for me to still say it and then learn at the mosque at a later time?"

Any help ?? What should I tell him/her??

I have visited Ulama's website from my country and I got the answer.

"Anyone can say shahadat at home, even alone without someone else being there. This is valid".

If someone say shahadat in mosque in the front of some witnesses that is because he/she wants to informs people "Now I am a Muslim". This is better.

And about say Shahadat but don't know how to Shalat (pray).
Shalat is obligated to all Muslims. So, after say Shahadat, he/she must learn how to shalat as soon as possible.
