Gaza.... it breaks my heart

im just back from an exhibition and conference at my local mosque here in Glasgow on the situation in Gaza. we all know the situation there but the pictures in the exhibition reduces you to tears.. what kept me going was seeing the great turn out at this event: over 300 people in a cold (its below 0 degrees) and extremely foggy evening.

i was impressed to see many non-muslims there and who have actively been involved in protesting and campaigning against the situation in Gaza. ther were MPs, anti-war people and doctors there. i met several scottish women, one of which was in her 80s, who went to Gaza and stood up to the israeli army! these women (and men) are amazing.. may Allah guide them to islam! they asked me if i would be interested in coming on one of their trips to Gaza, this really got me thinking. i really, really want to go there, i want to help these muslims there, by either medically aiding them or even as a teacher, but i know my father would never agree :( my sole dream in life is to help the muslims and do daawah to the non-muslims, please make dua for me that i have the full ability to do such.

anyway, one of the speakers at the conference was a doctor from edinburgh, he was saying that in Gaza there is no proper sewage systems and that dirty water is polluting the clean water and the palestinians are restricited in their water supplies due to the opression of the israeli army! he explained how he witnessed, during his stay in Gaza, women having to abort their unborn babies because they were not allowed past 'check-points' and that there were now diseases manifesting in Gaza that 'you would only read of in a small paragraph in a medical textbook' beacuse they are unheard of.

May Allah give victory to all the muslims worldwide over the oppressors, may Allah grant them the highest place in Paradise and strengthen them. i just wish i could do something more.

anyway, i just thought i would share this with you.

waalaikum asalam

Assalamu alaykum..

JazakAllah Khairan sister for sharing your experience with us. Alhamdulillah it's so good to hear that even non-Muslims are protesting against the violence in Palistine. We should really appreciate their efforts.
May Allah swt reward you for your noble intentions of going there yourself.
InshaAllah I hope one day you will be able to make it there...:)

Its SOOOO awful to see the hardships of the Palestinian people.. Only Allah swt knows how much they have to endure everyday..:( May Allah swt protect them all. Ameen.

i was out getting a christmas present for my mum and i found something i like, the guy who served me the product was an Israeli guy. he seemed cool to chat with, very polite aswell.

i have no problem with anybody as long as they are nice to me :)

we, as muslims, have no problem with anyone either- no matter what their race, culture, religion or lack thereof. Islam is a very tolertant religion and we respect everyone. the only time we have a problem is when we are opressed, our homes are taken, our men are killed, our houses are buldozed, trees uprooted etc as is the case in Palestine- then this is when we speak out and stand up against opression and injustice
