lol mine was down to my bum. my hair is short now, not because i hated it, but because i couldnt do anything with it, it was getting greasy and giving me hair sore :(

after 6 years my head feels lighter again now :D

Oh geez, i wonder if it's aloud to have that long hair =o

Anyways, the reason why i want to keep it that long is because i really look awful with short hair :p

Asslam'u Alykum,

Yes. You can keep your hair above shoulders.

Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The hair of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came down between his ears and his shoulders. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5565; Muslim, 2338.

By the way, Prophet's :saw: hair grew long most often only when he was busy e.g. long travelling, otherwise he would cut them short. And there is no reward for growing your hair long or shaving them off; men are ordered to just take care of them, whichever it's easier.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever has hair, let him take care of it.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4163; classed as hasan by al-Haafiz ibn Hajar in Fath al-Baari, 10/368

Brother, you might like to re-consider your reason for growing them long. It is not one of the best ones. :)
