Quick question on Islamic adaptation with various cultures/norms

I'm aware that Islam can adapt with certain cultural norms (whether they be African, Asian, European etc), as long as those cultural norms are not Haram. However, can someone guide me as to where this is supported by Quran and Hadith?

Anything is permissible in Islam if it does NOT go against the teachings of the Qur'an, Sunnah, Hadith etc. I guess one exception to this is Bid'ah (innovation) because Allah has perfected for us our religion and there is no need for innovation.
