permissible to take loan with interest??

i have a Question, i know a brother who is a revert to Islam, mashallah, before he reverted to islam he had some small trouble with the law and now he has two options to go to jail for like 1 month or 2 or pay $3500 to a lawyer which can help him.

He has totally changed Mashallah and deeply regrets the mistake and has no problem spending time in jail to pay for the mistake he made but he fears for his mom who is dependant on his son but he is reluntant to take the loan to pay cuz it involves interest.

IM not sure what to advice him so i need some help, i told him to go to mosque but he doesn't want to ruin his reputation and we know many people can be very judging.

The answer is a big NOOOOOOOOO. Interest is haram and Allah declared war on those who taka it. search the site and you will find the proof inshAllah. I do not have time to look for fetwa.

Can he take a loan from someone else, other than an interest-involved-bank? Can his friends/family/coworkers/relatives pool up some money for him as a loan??

Is it possible to ask the masjid for help? People in the mosque can probably collect enough money for him..
