"I feel totally discriminated against," said Miss Malha, who said she began wearing the hijab two months ago as an expression of her religious belief (The sake of Eternal joyful life in paradise and being close to her creator).

Last November, a Muslim lawyer was ejected from Spain's national court, where she was defending a client, because she refused to remove her headscarf.

That is so sad. I can't even imagine how these countries (I'm american so I'm including the US in on this...) can call themselves civilized and still persecute people for something like religion. I mean it's not like she's insisting to run around with LESS clothing...

That is sad… I heard that a spokesman of sarcozi said on the same issue - “women walking in hijab looks as the walking coffin”. Hate statements are delivered at times, events happen, of which all do not reach media.
May Allaah reward the sister with good and bless her, aameen.

This is very sad news. Europe is represented like civilized , who fully respect human rights and belifs, but when it comes to Muslims and thier belifs, they are attacking us,and not leting us to practise completely our religion Islaam. We belive hijab is farz for us, so they do not have right to bind us and not let us to practise our religion how it is.We wear our hijabs ( niqabs) proudly,to show all world how Muslims are, and how high and beautiful is religion of Allah Almighty. They are attacking modesty, while they should see diffrence between thier life style, and the life style of one Muslim, and they should see how hijab is not something that opress women, but it liberates her. It is very sad that their eyes our closed, and that they do not see the truth and beauty of our religion Islaam.

May Allah give patiente to our dear sister, and protect His religion from the attacks of unbelivers.:tti_sister:

:salam2: sister,
good point ! 'being civilised' is the self labelling . I have read many times just as in france and elsewhere the govts and others feel that they would sometime get in minority against muslims. Just muslim census in france is largest in Europe, same is the case with other countries too. moreover brain washing, poor knowledge etc I have came across many people who never asked a muslim regarding islaam but have understanding of what other fellow non-muslims taught them .when I met them and they said so and so things made me surprised -worried.

Or May be else they will not have free-cultures or the interaction with muslims will make them civilised
