beautifl muslimah
can anyone give me any istakes that occur again and again in the bible show that i can show them to my Christian friends and show them that the Bible is corrupted? thanks and salam....

watch the debate programm between jimmy swaggert and ahmed deedat.

it was pretty good to understand some big misbeilives now a days christian have.

but i think to show the beautiness of quran is more effecteble more then to show the corrupted of bibles and also to bring those beautiness of islam in our life.

then they wil not ask us to show them the correpted verse of bible,, they will ask us to show them the beautiness of islam which we have in our life.

I try not to point to mistakes with my christian friends because sometimes they find them offensive, however I do point out that Jesus never claimed to be god, and that the bible (specifically the new testament) is written by the disciples and some cases others. Like Paul's writings are just his sermons and not the revelations of God. Also just point out Jeremiah 8:8-9 "How can you say,'We are wise. and the law of the Lord is with us'? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood. The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken. Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord; so what wisdom do they have?" (New King James Version). Just be a bit warned because I think you should only show the these things if they are curious about them, because if you are trying to disprove them outright people have a tendancy of withdrawing and becoming more closed instead of more open, point out the similarities in your faiths before the differences. I, too, am trying to guide a christian friend, so far she has requested a copy of the Qu'ran (a translation obviously), and the other day we were all at a coffee shop next to school and I was like, "OK, I gotta go pray," she later told me she thought it was amazing that I would just leave things to go pray. I think just living according to Islam is the most powerful way to show people the truth.

Listen to shaikh Khalid Yasin (revert, from NY) on youtube or get his DVDs. He does a thorough job and has dialogues with Christians. He points out that the Lords Prayer, what Jesus (pbuh) said goes like this, "OUR father who art in heaven, hollow thy....." Jesus (pbuh) never said "MY" father, he said our "OUR" that clearly shows that Jesus (pbuh) was a messenger/prophet of God. Some Christians then say, well he said that to his diciples, he was trying to teach them. If that is the case, then why did Jesus (pbuh) pray? God doesn't pray to God.

Anyhow, it's really not good to point out contradictions to Christians unless they specifically ask for it (i.e.curious). Like the other brother said, it's best to use your actions as a means of showing Islam rather than pointing and arguing.

Excellent topic. This is what I came to ask about.
I was talking to my christian friend today about her faith and how it compared and contrasts with mine. I found that she was listening although she would try to explain her faith convincingly. I even felt sometimes that she felt she had to be on the defense as she could hear it was not making sense.
I think, and am not sure, that the best way is to pose some question especially about the trinity and where did Jesus say "worship me".
Now if this was the tenant of the christian faith wouldn;t this be found in the bible over and over again. And then Tawheed is our tenant of faith. Almost every verse in the quran is pointing out, telling us commanding us to worship Allah, that He is One subhana wa ta'ala and NEVER to associiate partners with him.

But I have a feeling she;ll bring her bible tomrw and I really don't feel like reading anything from it.

take care,

Salaamalik,

The best way to explain to a non-Muslim about Islam is to begin with how life started and it's purpose (story of the angels and Iblis/jinn). I think that is the fundamental root. In Christianity they believe angels have free will, but in Islam they don't, they are obedient to God. Jinns however, like human beings do have free will. I think explaining about this clears alot of questions for a person, because then it explains the purpose of life.

Hope that helps

salaam

Asslamo Allaikum,

Very good idea about not offending people, Masha’Allah.

It is very easy to get into a boxing match and actually KO a person with a bible in his/her hand.

Point is to win “hearts and minds (Is “Dubya” listening)” and deliver the message of Allah (SWT) in a beautiful and courteous manner; and the objective is certainly NOT to win an argument but loose a friend.

Be careful you don't offend them.

I think it'd be better if you showed them how similar Christianity and Islam is, and also how peaceful Islam really is.

Assalmoalaikoem warahmatullahi wabaraktuh,

We are muslims and Allah has explained many things about Christianity. Read the Quraan en de sunna and you will find what you have to do.

I will mention for you some important points.

1) Tawheed. Call the christian to Tawheed. Why we have to worship Allah alone. ( use the Quraan, they will listen insha Allah and some verses of the bible where is writting to worship only God)

2) Explain to them the position of Iesa ( jesus ) in islam and that he is not the son of God or God. ( use the Quraan and some verses form the bible which are very clearly about his position, like he can eat, drink, pray (to God)etc..).

3) Explain to them the postition of Maryam ( Mary) in islam. ( Use the Quraan).

4) make clear to them that the bible has been altered. You have differend versions of the bible ( and the differences are very clear). Also differend parts of the bible are contradicting eachother. This makes it easy to know that the bible is written by men and not by God, because God does not make mistakes.

Advice: " Be a good muslim, be an example for her/him"

advice: " give him/her advice to be a member of this website" Insha Allah i and some other members will help with answering his/her Questions.

Advice: " give him/her video's of reverts who are telling how they came to islam and why they reverted"

advice: " Give them a translation of the Quraan and video's with debates between ahmad Deedat and ....... like ( Jimmy Swagart) etc...

If you want more help, please don't hesitate to ask.

Take care

As Salaamu Alaykum
Completely ignore the Bible. Who cares about its contradictions and innaccuracies? It won't bring a person to Islam. Simply defend Islam from all lies against it and prove Islam true. Don't try to prove their religion false. Afterwards, tell them that Allah says that He approves only of Islam when a person has learned the truth about it, and leave the rest up to Allah (swt).

Asslamo Allaikum,

I was a youngster from Pakistan in USA, went to a store to buy a bible and they asked, "Which One?"

I was thoroughly confused and didn't know what to say.
