Salih in Qur'an, Methusaleh in Bible...same person?

Asalaamu alaikum...

I recently saw a chart that showed Prophets in Islam compared to their Biblical counterparts, and for the prophet Salih (pbuh) they showed Methuselah. I can see the last few letters being similar, but other than that I can find NO connection or anything similar between the two. Methuselah's claim to fame in the Bible was living to 969 years old and being Noe's grandson. I can't find anywhere (in the Bible) that he was a prophet or messenger.

Am I missing something?

JazakAllah khairyn

Wa'alaykum us-salaam

As far as I've undestood, Saalih is one of the Arab prophets whose mention has not been made in the Bible at all. If that's correct, maybe that's why your finding no similarities...

That is exactly my thought as well. Thank you.
