Wrong or correct?? can some one help me plz ??

Hope my brothers and sisters are doing good with the help of Allah Azzawjal..

I do never understand Urdu, but I LOVE Urdu Nasheeds and listen to them

So I some times think about this song, which is one of my favorites...
They say "Labbayk Ya rasoolullah..." IS IT CORRECT???

Can some one tell me what does it really mean??? What are they trying to tell through this word "Labbayk" ???

Assalamu allaicum wa raahmatullah wa baarakatuhu dear sister

From how much I know " Labbaik" is an Arabic word which menas " I answer you or I am ready to obey our orders", for example when we say dua " Labbaik Allahume Labbaik" in translation on English language it means " I answer you my Allah".I know that we also make this dua when we attend to preform Hajj or Umraah we reciate this dua "Labbaik allahumma labbaik. Labbaik la sharika laka labbaik. Innal hamda wanaimat laka wal mulk.La sharika lal ( Here I am, O Allah here I am -- here I am, you have no partner, here I am -- Surely all praise, favor and authority belongs to you. You have no partner.)

But I do not know exactly can these words be used when we are mentioning our Prophet Mohammed sallahu alyha wa saalam.And Allah knows the best.

Labaik is an Arabic word which conveys readiness to be present on being summoned I do not see any wrong in saying this while addressing the Holy Prophet S.AWAS .In the
Naat the reciter is saying that we are present to carry out the Prophets mission and prepared to lay down our lives for this purpose

it has parts from arabic, farsi, pashtu, dari, hindi. Maybe some words from tamili.

I am teacher for immicrants. I teach my language for people all those languages.

"Lab baik o rasool allah i am ready to sacrifice myself, I am ready to give up my life, in ur name master."

Again & Again he is saying "Raise the flag of Nabi in each n every house"

I don't know how far this statement holds good.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 654:
Narrated 'Umar: I heard the Prophet saying, "Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Apostle.

Praying 2 rakah Nawfil is better than listening to this.......

since I read about the nasheed in a thread on tti,I realized that they all made me like the voice of the singer,instead of the meaning of the song.I indeed prefere the holy Quran,without any melody,because it surely leads my mind to like the reciter more than the recitation.:astag:

see, you and I are in the same boat! I love the Urdu language alot and I thought maybe by listening to Nasheeds I could learn so much....BUT I was wrong. Most of the nasheeds I found were uhm some Shia stuff. The praise for Ali and so on. I also found some Sufi nasheeds that I felt very uncomfortable listening to. I dont know what these two brothers are saying as I dont understand Urdu. But it seems to me that it is against the Salafiyah manhaj. They maybe some misguided group that we dont know about. The best thing to do is learn Urdu from friends and Urdu video lessons. Thats all I can say for now. May Allaah bless your soul and shower His mercy upon you! ameen

Regarding listening to nasheeds....
I am really thankful for the kind advise, Alhamdulillah

I have no words to type.. I hope Allah will help me to find my ways soon Insha Allah.....

But Allah Knows the best... is it a sin to listen to songs... (Without musical instruments I mean..)

I pray I should be guided towards the straight path always and Allah Azzawajal should always help me to abstain my self from sins..Aameen
