Nervous about Ramadan

With the holy month only one day away I will admit to being a wee bit nervous about Ramadan. This is the first time in two years I have been able to fast. I am looking forward to it, to rededicating my life to Allah and Islam but I feel like a new revert when it comes to Ramadan. I know I will be fine but a sense of nervousness has come upon me.

:salam2: Sister, I remember last year, when I had decided that I needed to fast Ramadan how nervous I was. So nervous in fact that when I went to buy dates at the local store, I saw a Muslim family and so I started to talk to them. Their little girl <about 10 I think> was fasting for the first time, Mashallah. Well, in my nervousness and wanting to do something nice, I gave them one of my packages of dates as a gift....however.......

In my nervousness they ended up paying for them so when I paid for mine, I gave it to them and apologized. I felt so foolish and humiliated! As Ramadan moved on, I found myself quite easily falling into a routine of prayer and fasting. I found it quite peaceful actually. At night, I tried to break fast with at least one friend and one night, my house was breaking fast with a christian, a Jewess, and a Native American who was following Muslim traditions....the irony of that kinda stuck me as funny. :) the good kind though...

May Allah grant us the fasting lof super elite slaves. There are three types of fasting by people. Best is by the super elites, complete submission to Allah. May Allah save our necks from humiliation.

There are three types of fasting:

1. fasting by general people who stops drinking, eating and do not do any sexual activity- most of the peope do this kind of fasing.

2. Fasting by elites- no only they fast like #1, they stop disobeying Allah

3. Fasing of the super elites- they do #1 and #2 and they completely submit to Allah. These are the people who fast with their souls

By the by, I received these info from shaikh Waleed Basiyuni in a class I have attended (may Allah preserve shaikh Waleed).

I'm not what you believe
:salam2:
this is my first Ramadhan as non-pregnant woman, but I'm giving my own milk to my child and I at first was anxious about my fast.I found no rules about a woman who has delivered from 15 days.So the first morning I drank a pill of vitamines with water and a glass of milk.I fasted all day long and the milk was enough to feed my child.it is written that the fast depends from the health's conditions of a woman:if she fears not to be able, she mustn't fast,on the contrary way, there is no interdiction if a woman mskes the fast in Ramadhan.me,it's the second day of fasting and I survived, just for the seek of Allah.I discovered that with the arrival of Ramadhan,my post-partum depression has disappeared.before Ramadhan I was sad,anxious,angry...but now, mashallah,I'm happy and trusty:ma:
