Assalamu Alaikum:

Is this forum now running spontaneously without moderation for posts and individual members.?

Yesterday,when I was logged-in to the forum,my eyes suddenly slipped to an username by a newly registered member. The username that member was carrying explicitly disdained,Naudubillah,our Prophet (SAW). It was extremely abusive. Instantaneously I sent a message to administrators but to my surprise there was no acknowledgement of my message nor any action was taken to abolish the concerned account. Late night when I left the forum the member's account was intact with same abusive username.

Bro, admin & mods might be busy/ unavailable. It took 2 days to get my confirmatory msg and get my account running at time I had registered.

Posts continually drop at TTI and so traffic is heavy,that needs massive vigilance.

That is for this reason that you mentioned,I questioned,is this forum running spontaneously.

Posts continually drop at TTI and so traffic is heavy,that needs massive vigilance.

I wonder at an Islamic forum,how can a disbeliever succeeded to create an account with such a abusive name.

salam brother,i think your right,the forum seems much busier lately,and many more people coming in just to cause annoyance,,i think there are a number of moderators but many do not seem to be active lately,,,

maybe there are some brothers here willing and able to act as moderators ,who could offer their help..maybe they are just overwhelmed...

if you check on the forum page,at the bottom it will tell you which members have been online today ..you will see 4 moderators have been online,,,
but they seem to come in the night hours ,i have rarely seen anyone daytime///it really needs one moderator here at each period of day...
..
i know you have contacted a moderator,so maybe you can write again with your concerns,it would be a shame to see things going downhill in the forum

Yes I agree with your previous and this post.Those members from TTI who are well equipped with knowledge of Deen and Dunya,who are willingly ready to devout time and effort in the way of Allah (SWT) should be given chances to help the website.

and there are a few people who register and say offensive things about islam or do trolling...and it takes quite some time before some of these people are banned,and they may have already spread their venom...

it is really sad to see such things asthagfirulah...Apart from this,there may be many people in this forum who would like to revert to islam,or have just reverted;and these ugly posts by some of these anti islamic people here may have a bad effect on the newly reverted muslims who are just learning about islam and the ones who are trying to revert...

maybe the brothers are overwhelmed ,but something has to be done in sha Allah...

Respected brother, the forum is being moderated, I assure you of that. There is some sort of troll storm going on. If you noticed something don't wait and contact more than one mod and report the case. Last night I reported 3 cases in about 1 min. When a mod showed up the members were banned and the threads/ posts removed. It must be hard for them, so let's be strong till the storm subsides. Work as part time Mod assisstant. I feel like it's the same person or a group of persons. Wa Allahu Alum!

If you noticed something don't wait and contact more than one mod and report the case. Last night I reported 3 cases in about 1 min. When a mod showed up the members were banned and the threads/ posts removed. It must be hard for them, so let's be strong till the storm subsides. Work as part time Mod assisstant. The forum is being moderated... things are a bit difficult at the moment, since many of the Mods are busy, but please be patient with us. We'll work to try and sort this out inshaAllaah and make TTI more efficient.

As for the latter bit - I do believe this is the case. We recently have many spammers and such on the website, and sometimes we arent able to deal with them for a short period of time, but reports are noticed and action is taken. If you are unable to get a response from a report, it would be good to notify a Mod personally to look into it. Preferably more than one, since sometimes one may get caught up.

Unfortunately, I disagree with most of the comments here. If these 'trolls' are indeed Muslim haters then I think we should accommodate them and engage with them in civilised debate. Our aim should be to teach them the beuaty of Islam, you never know they may even stay and find the truth. They could be all lost souls who are looking for a home to belong to and what better home than Islam? It's easy to ban people willy nilly without giving them a chance.

The forum is not running spontaneously. We have a lot of people registering each day, and there might be some people who slip into the site and cause trouble. - This can happen anywhere, online or offline. Thank you for alerting us, I deleted the member last night.

As for Ads you may not like, for a firefox browser there is an Adblock you can download to prevent it, or report the Ads through this method and they should be dealt with: Reporting Offensive Advertisments insha'Allaah.

I just wanted to remind the management for infiltration of an unwanted element on TTI. I have noticed there are infiltration from two communities Christians and Hindus.

I do not know and Allahu-Aalim many undesirable elements might have reached TTI chasing me.

there may be some genuine cases where people ask questions to learn more brother...i was not talking about everyone who asks questions about islam...i was talking specifically about some people who keep posting stuff and argue with us just to make us angry and emotional..'Allah knows best'...

asthagfirulah...shaytan made me forget to say 'Allah knows best' in my earlier post..He knows who's asking genuinely and who's trolling...He's the only one who can seee what is in our hearts...

yes,you are right,Allah may guide some of these people to the truth...
