Doubt On Hadith

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) told us that there was a group from the Bani Israel who went to visit a graveyard. There they said, “How about if we pray two rakahs and ask Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) to resurrect someone, so we can ask him about death.” So they prayed two rakahs and asked Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) to resurrect one of the dead. A dark man was resurrected, who had the sign of sujood (prostrations) on his forehead.*! He said, “What do you want from me? I died one hundred years ago and the pain of death only just stopped at this moment. Pray to Allah and ask him to return me to as I was.” [Abu Dawud]

Assalaamualaikum,

Can anyone explain me this hadith's please? Also the following questions..
1. How did his pain come to ease after 100 yrs?
2. What could be the possible reason for his pain for 100 yrs? - This is a speculation one..

If you could provide with hadiths, the reasons, the sins and the equivalent punishment which someone would get in grave? WOuld me grateful.

Assalaamualaikum bro,

Nope am not able to find it out.. I tried searching the PDF of Abu Dawud with various words in the Hadith. But I couldn't find a hadith of this sort..
Sorrie.. Maybe I should have cross-checked it before hand.. My bad. :(
Hope Allah(SWT) forgives me for it..

Assalaamu Alaikum,

Its a Hadith , which hints at the reality of Sakaraathul Mauth and the pain of death.. From whats known it happened during time of Moosa(a) Ummah.

Nope nobody speculated anything, nor anybody answered it.. But atleast happy a few of them responsded to it brother. :)
Would be nice, if you could speculate?

Wonder what his sins where that it was soo much of pain? and was it the 2 rakah prayer tat eased the pain? or just the mercy of Ar-Rahman..?
