I am a proud Muslim but I also play video games, so please don't go bashing on that. A certain video game I play have people wanting to include gay romance in them, they are enlisting the help of Gay organizations. Who in the Muslim realm, in America could I contact to have them write the company to not include this offensive content. I do enjoy the game, enjoy talking to the friends I have made but if this content comes into it then I will be forced to leave the game due to it.

Dear sister, I think at least if you must play you should play games that doesn't have such contents , since it is very dirty and unislamic. If you leave it for Allah you will have something better and Allah knows best.

what game is it? I like to play games as well and there's nothing wrong with that. But some games we should avoid as they are more than mere games. They were created for a purpose and agenda. The violent games out there desensitizes the mind and makes people more prone to act the violence out. There are games where you go muslim hunting and kill muslims, these type are handed out to soldiers to play. And the type of games that have gay stuff in them is most likely backed by gay organizations wanting to promote that stuff. I don't think you'll be able to have them take that stuff out. Inshallah an alternative might be better and only option for you.

Salam alikom sister, I don't think you should worry about such trivial things - I'm pretty sure you can skip those parts if you're not comfortable watching them. However as long as it's not explicit content (i.e. *!*!*!*!ographic - which isn't the case here) then why think twice about it? Just enjoy your game!

The reason I do not want to play a game that says its ok to be gay is just that, its saying its ok to be something that goes against my religion and today they confirmed that SGR would be available with Non-Player Characters in the upcoming expansion. So I will play until that comes out then leave.

The wisdom of Islam is that not only forbids evil and also any path that may lead to it. And by going along with such enterprise we are endorsing and supporting it. We will be asked about how spent our wealth, paying the producers of a game that promotes such haram filth shouldn't be one of them. Remember, when we leave something for Allah, He blesses with something better.

What is wrong with having to stop playing this game? Will it cause you severe hardship if you were to do so?
Sister, life is harsh. We dont get what we want in life. If you have to give up playing one little game, what difference does that make? Will you go hungry, become lonely, lose your job, lose your children? If not, then stop playing the game...and play another one that does not offend you. We all make similar choices when we go to restaurants and look at the menu, go to clothing stores and choose clothes that are Islamic, go to the bookstore and choose proper books to buy. The same applies to a video game.

The game to me was fun, relaxing and time spend with friends from across the country, that is why I enjoyed it. After a long day at work, time spent with my son I would play for a couple hours, retire the bedroom, read some Qu'ran or book on Islam then bed. I am just saddened that the game I really enjoy has given into the demands of these people so easily. This is Star Wars, its not supposed to have real life stuff in it, just fantasy stuff.

The trend will continue, expect more sleazy games. Most out-grow of computer games, when college ends, because life and reality catches up. But to make these games as the only mode of relaxing and entertainment in life, must be avoided. Maybe you are playing this game out of habit, and are not addicted to it. Or our of sheer curiosity, you check out these games, and the new trends out there, if thats the case, then this is harmless. Ask yourself if its an addiction. Subject your gaming habit to addiction test. Replace it with something more rewarding, soothing and beneficial. There are, enough avenues, which are equally exciting and rewarding in real life.

I understand where your coming from sister. Lot of games, movies and cartoons coming out today are full of propaganda and agendas by different organizations who wants to influence the public mind and opinion. It's hard to find good quality stuff that full of world problems and issues. Inshallah you can find a better game and you have us as well to spend time with and make friends with 
I can assure you I am not addicted to it, I can go days w/out playing it no problem. It is one of the ways I relax after work and some days I am not in the mood for it and thus don't play it.
I wrote a letter to the company telling them of my feelings and I was told that they will add gay romances in the next expansion, there will be no way of turning it off and if I do not like the way the game has gone then I am free to leave. My reply was that is fine, as of the 10th when my subscription runs out I shall leave the game. the Florida Family Values Association has started a campaign to force the game to not put in/get rid of gay romances and I would join them if they were not such haters on Muslims.

The movies, games............. media in general are shaping minds and intersets ...........the new generation are being enslaved to the way few people think and believe. Only clear understanding of Islam can save the new generation. I mean submitting to Allah sincerely can free people from such slavery. Anyway, like everyone else is saying, these games too must be getting funding from gay rights activists who want more and more acceptance of their weird notions by the world. Games are usually played by children and the young - a nice way to condition their thinking and make them think such things are 'cool'.

I do have two things to say. Firstly sgr was suppose to in the game from the beginning. And second we are talking of Bioware game. And their games have included sgr so long as I can remember.
Personally to me it's not a problem. Play the game too. But choice is ones own what they want to do.
