Assalamu alaikum Brother,

May Allah make you get better!!!

You probably have a viral gastroenteritis. You need rest, and drink lots of fluids.

What better way to rest than being on TTI? ;)

Wa alaykum as salaam bro

Nothing life threatening then?

I wonder where I got it from? I suspect a dodgy egg since that's what I'd eaten when the first symptom showed up.

Salaams Brother,

Firstly prayers you get back to your healthy , happy self very quickly InshAllah. If it is from a bad egg, then it might be Salmonella, symptons sound right, or just general food poisoning, both thankfully not life threatening, so just get rest and as Happy 2BA Muslim says, liquids and rest best way to get over most things.

Just best to see a doctor if things don't get better in a day or two.

We're all praying for you.

Fi amanAllah

Wa alaykum as salaam and jazak'Allah khayr, bro.

One symptom I forgot to mention is feeling generally tired and run down (I've been in bed nearly all day).

Salaams,

Bit of info which I hope helps:

What are the symptoms of salmonella poisoning?

Diarrhoea or constipation.

Headaches.

Stomach cramps.

Nausea and vomiting.

Fever.

Possibly, blood in the faeces.

In the case of less serious infections there are fewer symptoms - usually only diarrhoea two or three times a day for a couple of days. Most mild types of salmonella infection clear up in four to seven days without requiring any treatment other than rest and plenty of liquid.

A more severe infection may cause excessive diarrhoea, stomach cramps and general health problems. In such cases, treatment with antibiotics may be necessary and a doctor should be consulted.

When is it necessary to contact a doctor?

If diarrhoea continues for more than 24 hours.

If the diarrhoea is frequent and intense.

If the patient has severe stomach cramps.

If there is blood in the faeces.

If the patient has fever of 38oC or higher.

If there are signs of jaundice - a yellowish discolouration of the skin or eyes. This may indicate problems with the liver or the bile ducts that take the bile from the liver to the stomach.

Dehydration.

Lol, I was going to say gastroenteritis, and second post already said it. Funny as. MashAllah Happy 2BA Muslim.

Salaams,

Bit of info which I hope helps:

What are the symptoms of salmonella poisoning (aka bacterial gastroenteritis)?

Diarrhoea or constipation.

Headaches.

Stomach cramps.

Nausea and vomiting.

Fever.

Possibly, blood in the faeces.

Lol, and you've listed all the symptons too :)

Only at 4pm yesterday, I had to hand in a 2000 word essay on a research experiment whether bacterial gastroenteritis is still caused by the commonly thought source of contaminated food, or if the hypothesis put forward that poor oral hygiene is the main problem.

And I waffled quite a bit at times. Wish I came here and asked some of guys some questions. Was having nightmares about the essay last few days, and now, it seems like the talk on gastroenteritis keeps popping up everywhere, even on TTI.

Salam alaikum.

PS: Mohammad A, rem to wash hands before eating. Also, maybe trying replacing your toothbrush. Maybe it has too much bacteria on it.

Sounds like you are not feeling well brother. If you can funtion, it is probably not food poisoning (not to a large degree anyway). All of us go through a sick day every now and then. Drink lots of fluids and eat some soup.

Out of all minor illnesses, the one I dread the most is diarrhea. Think about it...I am a truck driver. It makes for a very, very bad day when you are 50 miles (90 km?) from the nearest toilet. LOL.

Hope you feel better soon.

I tell you how is that. :D

That is the Atheists way of way of saying "Good luck, wish you good luck, hope you get well... blaa blaa."

The Muslims' way is : "May Allah bless you with Shifaa of your body as well as your spirit"

How was that? :D :D :D

There is a sarcastic smiley. In fact, you can use it quite well if you time it properly. I used it to annoy that fabs character once before he was banned. Here, I'll use an example now:

George Bush is a caring and clever peron!!
