If it meant the layers of the earth then theres 4 layers not 7..unless the scientists got that wrong??

Allah did not Create 7 Earths . He created 7 Skies and Earth . Whenever you will read in Quran about creation of Skies and earth , you will read " KHALAQA AS'SAMAWATE WAL'ARDH " means created Skies and earth . Read yourself in quran :

Quran : 10 : 3 , " Indeed your Lord is Allah , who Created the Heavens and the Earth in six days , and then established Himself above the throne , arranging the matters [ of the creation ] . There is no Intercessor except after his permission. That is Allah , Your Lord , So Worship HIM . Then will you not Remember [ Praise ] ? "
MORE REFERENCE : Quran , 11: 7 , Quran , 25 : 59 , Quran , 32 : 4 , Quran , 50 : 38 .

"He it is Who has revealed the Book to thee; some of its verses are decisive — they are the basis of the Book — and others are allegorical. Then those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead, and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. And none knows its interpretation save Allah, and those firmly rooted in knowledge. They say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord. And none mind except men of understanding."(2:7)...This is enough explanation for anyone who swims in faith(belief which does not rest on logical explanation or material evidence).

sister,I don't think the scientists got it wrong maybe you did, there are seven layers of earth including(layers of discontinuity: moho and Guttenberg, inner mantle, outer mantle, inner core, outer core, crust), make no mistake all of them have different characteristics.

Besides, the indication of the verse is beyond my comprehension. It could mean the seven layers or literally seven earths which are not in the scope of our comprehension and thus falling into the (matters of the unseen) like the existence of Jinn, OR if someone was to take the most powerful telescope will he be able to see the Throne of Allah? or how do people explain the 7 heavens themselves? is that a factual and accounted explanation?...We(Humans) are still babies if not born yet in terms of knowledge so let's not go in advance of what we know bearing in mind there is no one who can disprove that verse as no one can disprove the existence of Jinn.(Allah knows best)

"O you who believe enter into [(silm) peace(Islam)]completely and follow not into the footsteps of Shaitan.Surely he is your open enemy"(Q2:208)
This matter is not of Aqeedah or Usuul-lud diin so it's comprehension is of little significance if our faith is secured.
And main purpose of such verses is for us to use our logic to know and belief our Lord...so since we can't explain that phenomena and we already know our Lord then it matters little to us (muslims) whether there are seven earths or not.

And we should not argue with non-muslims on such matters.

"And argue not with the People of the Book except by what is best, save such of them as act unjustly. But say: We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our God and your God is One, and to Him we submit."(29:46)

O Allah guide us to Your straightened path...aamin

salam alaikum wa rahmatullah,

Sister Hirra Javed perhaps this will help you:

Surah 65:12 It is Allah who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof......

Muslim : (3:1232 Baab al-Zulm) "whoever usurps the land of somebody unjustly, even if it was a mere hand span, then his neck will be encircled with it down to the seven earths".

In Al Bukhari (Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah 1:19,20) "....he will sink down to the seven earths"

Also refer details of Surah Talaq Tafseer Ibn Katheer and Al-Qurtubi .

Salam alaikum wa rahmatullah.

assalamalaikum....
Sura 2,verse 29 :"(God) is the one who created for you all that is on earth. Moreover he turned to the heaven and fashioned seven heavens with harmony. He is full of knowledge of all things."

Sura 23,verse 17 :"And we have above you seven paths. We have never been unmindful of the creation."

Sura 67,verse 3:"(God) is the one who created seven heavens one above another.Thou canst see no fault in the creation of the beneficent.Turn the vision again!canst thou see any rift?"

sura 65,verse 12:"God is the one who created seven heavens and the earth a similar number."

The quranic texts indicates the presence of more than one earth.Perhaps mankind has not yet reached to that level, where it can explore the truths of quranic verses.
Subhanallah..allahuakbar.
