i think he was that guy who got that really bad head injury...a pieces of iron passed right through the bottom of his cheek and came out the top of his head

he didnt die though, his behaviour changed....so they made brain discoveries cos of his injury

yes he was the guy who got hit in the head in 1800's from lebanon, new hamshire. It was an explosion that caused a 3 foot long and 1.5 inch long iron rod to go up his cheek and come out of his upper frontal lobe. The man ended getting a hole in skull around the frontal cortex. his coworkers ran to him expecting a dead man, but he was breathing and living. after a few seconds he was rushed to the hospital. the man could see just find, he reacted to light, all his senses were fine, he had no pain from accident, regular heartbeat. Only after he went back to work and his life did everyone see that gage was a changed man. He became irresponsible, he would use profanities, he broke his promises constantly, and he lied. None of these were his previous personalities. the damage in his frontal lobe area caused him not to be able to control his social behaivor. This led to science discovery of the frontal cortex being responsiple for social behaivor such as lying.

Surah al 'alaq " the lying, sinnful (rebellious)forelock"

someone has evidently been watching too much Cbeebies.

Rainbows come about because of refraction. Refraction is the bending of light rays by mirrors. When light is split seven colours can be seen. The raindrops act as mirrors for the sunrays, so when the sun rays hit the raindrops they are bent to different angles each raindrop creates its own spectrum which is tiny, but when there are millions and millions of these spectra together a rainbow appears....

theres more to it then that though....apparently it matters about the angle at which the light is bent...but Jihan can tell that bit...
