This is really unrelated, but in the past few weeks I've seen so many guys from the gulf that speak English with a Southern US accent. Like they learned their English in Texas, only...they didn't. Kind of funny. Like this guy, who's from the UAE. Its interesting.

If he really is from UAE there could be a way tht he was raised up here,studied here and thats how he has accent but now he may have moved to middle east as lot of muslims do many of my family members did & so will I InshaAllah. But he doesnt sound like 'southern accent' at all.

Salam Alikum, Yup it is absolutely true that he could have moved from US or Canada to UAE, I know many who chose the same path.
