Weird things happening

Weird things have been happening in my house lately.
These lights in my mom dad dad's bedroom would just turn on by themselves at the same time. It could be 3:00 in the afternoon, and my dad would be at work and my mom here and the lights would turn on by themselves. Every now and then too I can be sitting down, and right next to me i'd see an object but i'd look and it would be gone. My mom and dad have even said they've see the same thing. Also, one night I was home alone there was a shadow on the wall and it looked like someone walking back and fourth. I looked outside to see if someone was in my backyard, no one was. And early this morning, my mom was reading the newspaper and the t.v. turned on, and turned off by itself. I bring this up because i'm curious to what it could be. I know i'm not just going crazy, lol because my parents have noticed the same thing. And it's not everyday, it could go a couple of weeks and everything be normal, nothing weird happen, then one day something will happen. My dad has the strongest belief that it's my grandma (his mom) that passed away in 2002. Since the 31st was her birthday, and with the t.v. turning on. Plus those lights in my parents room , she gave those lights to them before she died.

I feel kinda dumb for asking, since I don't necessarily know how to ask. And I don't expect you guys to be an expert at this, but i'm just curious to what it is? My dad believes its my grandma, and he says he always feels like she's here with him. I don't even know what it could be. I want to believe it's her, since I miss her so much. Really, I feel so embarressed asking lol but all these weird things around my house I was just curious to what it is. Being a new Muslim i'm not really positive what the islamic view is on these kinda things.

So don't laugh :shymuslima1:

I won't laugh. I remember I had some pretty weird stuff happen to me a long time ago. Don't wanna tell you might get freaked out, lol. Well I 'm not going to give any islamic ruling, (FATWA) on this issue, my sister said so.....

Well Insha'Allah you will be ok, and safe in your home. And these weird things won't occur in your house, any longer.

Salaam,

Sister this is not wierd. Not too long ago there was a thread on jinns. Please research that. The information was very useful. Please read the second sura of the Holy Quran.

Sister, there are jinn in every house and every where we are as human, some them they are good jinn and some of them are bad. but for sure its not your grand ma she is already passed a way her spirit wont come back to go around the earth. Allah s.w.t told us what happens to the spirit once some one dies.

, just to be one safe side follow the advise of the brothers and sisters ...add one thing if you have dvd or cd player, run Surrah Baqqarah ever morning and night just let it run every day.

And most ususful if you and your parents recite surrah bakkarh every day..I know its long surrah read part of it every morning and night ... or you can run it on CD or DvD and listen.

Allah's Messenger came out to his companions and recited Surah ar-Rahman (55) from the beginning to the end, but they remained silent. Thereupon he said: I recited this before the Jinn on the night of Jinn, and their response was better than that of yours. When I came to these words: `Then which of the favours of your Lord do you deny?' They said: Our Lord, there is nothing that we deny of Thy favour; to Thee is praise due

so if they are good jinn they wont harm you .

but for bad jinn

Allah's Messenger said, "Allah finished Surat al-Baqarah with two verses which I have been given from His treasure which is under the Throne; so learn them and teach them to your womenfolk, for they are a blessing, a means of a approach (to Allah) and a supplication."

Ibn Taimiya, Majmu, vol. 19, p. 55
"The numerous people who have experienced these events all confirm the amazing effectiveness of this verse in warding off jinn and breaking their spells. It [editor's note: ayat al-Kursi] has a great effect in repelling devils from humans, from the possessed and from those picked out by jinn, such as wrongdoers, people with bad tempers, those who follow their desires and lusts, musicians and those who become ecstatic through whistling and clapping. If these verses are read over them with sincerity to Allah, the jinn will leave. It will put an end to the mirages created by the jinn. It will also disclose the falseness of those, the brothers of the jinn, who perform miraculous acts. The jinn inspire their devotees with some knowledge that the ignorant think are miracles that Allah grants His pious servants. In fact, they are simply Shaytaan's acts of deception over his devotees, of those whom have earned Allah's wrath and those who have gone astray."

Hadith - Tirmidhi #2145, Narrated An-Nu'man ibn Bashir
Allah's Messenger said, "Two thousand years before creating the heavens and the Earth, Allah inscribed a book of which He sent down two verses with which He concluded surat al-Baqarah. The Devil will not come near a house in which they are recited three nights

The prophet peace be up on him said( meaning of hadith :the Shaytan cant stay in a house where Surrah bakkarah been recited

It could be as simple as faulty electric wires. I had a TV once that would turn on by itself after I turned it off. I got rid of it and bought a new TV and the new TV has been behaving itself so far :)

:salam2:
yes, it could be electricity problems!! (i've also had the same problem...i just needed to screw in the light bulb more...lol) and sometimes if i think that an object has moved, it turns out that i just forgot i left it somewhere else!

i used to work in a store that was supposedly "haunted" and i heard all these crazy stories from the co-workers...for the longest time i never experienced anything and once when i was working by myself something from the storage room was mysteriously in the middle of the store on the floor...it was very strange.

don't worry we all know what you talking abt..but i suggest you read more quraan, alot of quran i mean..your house will be blessed..and place ur trust in ALLAH..i don't think it has anything to do with your grandma, she is too busy enjoying herself in the other world.with no desire of returing to this world..[i hope]

No i'm pretty sure it isn't an electrical problem. The lights are the ones you touch to turn it on, and when it comes on it's on the highest light. My mom and dad have checked if there was anything wrong and nothing. Same with the t.v. It seems crazy but trust me if you were here, you'd know it wasn't an electrical problem, lol.

The following may not be the cause, however, the possibility exist. Those touch lamps have sensors which can go bad and malfunction, thus causing the light to come on or go off without touching it. As for the television, I had the same problem, the television would come on at a particular time every night. I blamed the kids for leaving it on, but one night as soon as it came on I went in the living room but no one was there. I took the remote and went into the menu settings and there was an option (timer) to have the television come on at that time. I set the timer to off and the problem was solved. There is no way that it could be your grandmother because when someone dies they go in a state of Barzak (barrier) where they cannot return or communicate with anyone in this world anymore. The Jinn that accompanied them in this world may still be alive and have information about them. They can possibly try to imitate them as well. My advice is to check the logical things first.:salam2:
