Have you asked your imam for help? They often know of people who are looking for spouses for thier daughters. Or find an auntie and get the word out. One thing I know for sure the woman who are most likely to marry male converts from my own experience are malay women.

Be patience and you have time left. by the way, getting engaged doe not guaranty your marriage to anyone. I have seen two to three who were engaged for while and when they got close to the marriage date they broke it off. well good luck and be patience, no need to hurry. Bye.

Try combing your hair a different way, or change your itr (perfume) ....... JUST KIDDING. Make Dua and ask of Allah. All in Allah's time.

also a old friend of mine told me that i wont get a wife any time soon because im a revert.. not many people take me an islam seriously!! they think im ever in it for the women, or they think im too strict.. maybe i should start looking cos itll take so long..

actually i can understand how do u feel and worry about? i have 4 sister and brother all we r born muslim,even my cousin,they also face a marrige problem,becaz we r living in non muslim community ,and we have minor muslim surrounding,so we cant fine our partner in islam,and they even not
practical in islam,so i dont think u dont have to look for a born muslim,as my opinion
i think most of revert can do better than us..and just keep dua to ALLAH and i wont tell u be patience or what, becaz marrige is half of deen,and i believe that Quran said a good muslim must be with a good muslimah, then u keep ur deen in the right path,and always practicle in isalam,for Oneday U will get a good ideal muslimah u like,inshalalh! or maybe u can always go to mosque then maybe will have someone can help and introduce u , cheerful and keep going..May ALLAH give u a good wife,inshallah! :ma: :muslim_child:

And Muslimah(who don't practicing)find us too strict...

a cheikh in azhar in egypt, is a big cheikh , every day he spend his time in studying islam. and one time he spend all his money on books so , he didn't find how to buy something to eat. so he spend édays without eating anything. so the situation became diificult, and he cant wait more time without eating, so he went out to search for something to eat, and as the somone who is hungry, he can smel the cooking from a very far point; so he searched for the origin of this food, and he found a house , with opened doors, and no one was there , he entered to that house and he foud , a big quantity of food; he told himself "i cant wait more " and when he was trying to eat, the HADITH of ourprophet Salla allah allaihi wasallam was just in mind " Man nabota lahmoho min soht fannaro awla bih" that mean the human body that eat HARRAM the FIRE of JAHANNAM Must be his DESTINATION. so the cheikh put the food down on the table and he went out to his house, felling stomacke.
while he was sleeping, some one knocked on his door, it was his cheikh im mean his teacher in AZHAR UNIVERSITY. so the teacher told him: " a man came to me and told me that he wantto marry his daughter to my best student , so i have tought and i found that you are the best one", and he took the cheikh to a place!!!! You know where ???
to the same house where the cheikh has found the food , and it was the house of his futur wife, and the cheikh had told a good thing " i stoped to eat the food that is not mine , which is HARRAM, and allah gave me this food to eat it with HONOr, and give me also the house , hamdollillah".

this story is to tell to every one that TAKWAis the way to Heaven, to zawaj, good thing " wa man yattaki ALLAH yajaal laho makhrajan min hayto la yahtassib"

i'm not married but i'm sur that will fine a good one if i follow the good path .

To carpy321 &mizza88, i would suggest that you speak to some you really trust like the imaam for you carpy321, & the imaam's wife for mizza88, & ask them to keep an ear for you some good muslim brother or sister wants to get married..

For the goin out to the mosque issue, its true that the prophet said you shouldn't prevent your wifes from goin to the mosque,but their prayers in their houses is better for them.. gettin permission from your husbands is also important..
For sister Sophie we pray that Allah guides your husband & grant you a lot of patience :)
