i dont care about your following of your laws in private
but i do care about you trying to make them be the laws of my country
which has been forced on people for far to long
i know many young emiratis who think like me
and some saudis too
we dont care how devout or obedient you are
good for you
but we are sick of having you force your devoutness on us in the legal system

religion is not supposed to be compulsory
it is supposed to be a free choice and private
and there are muslim nations like this
Turkey, Tunisia, Indonesia, Malayasia
Bosnia, Albania, Kosovo
All of which are secular

You have no right to talk on behalf of my country M'sia. The people here are not secularist, we are Muslims. That's all. Have you been here in the first place?

You are in US, who is forcing you to follow Islamic teaching in US? I guess, you have a guilty conciousness for not being able an ordinary Muslim, in fact from the way you write I've a doubt whether you are Muslim or not.

I don't believe those laws are valid
They are 1400 years old
from a totally different time in history

but now shariah law is a violation of human rights
and hijab is outdated and needs to disappear in my opinion
there is nothing more important then freedom
at least to me

are you implying that Allah is not able to frame a law that can be applied at any given time?
Allah is far removed of what you are attributing to Him.

who defines human rights? Kamal ataturk? It is Allah who created you and He is most merciful. He knows best about how to correct us, how to punish us.
Amazing that you think laws can be changed to suit your need and desires. Strange that you think man defined human rights can be better than Allah's shari'ah.

something that you wrote are nullifiers of Islaam. may Allah guide you to enter Islam wholeheartedly.

Ya Allah Make not us among the groups whom they have gone astray. We came from You and to You we return!! One who rejects the commands of Allah (even one Aya of the Holly Qura'an) with ignorance, he commits apostasy. I doubt you are a muslim.

Ya Allah, indeed we are weak and we need Your help and protection from all evils! Ameen!

Assalaam walaikum,

Hello there Jonas1993.

If I haven't welcomed you to TTI..welcome.

I see that you have expressed your opinion about how Islam is anachronistic.
Please be specific and lets see why you think it outdated. List the reasons.

There are many of us who will help you to understand that the opposite is true.

i would never marry a woman who wears hijab
and if my wife started to i would divorce her instantly
if i have a beautiful wife i want the world to see my beautiful wife and i out in public
not me out with some shapeless person who looks like a walking ghost
that is how those look to me..

Brother, please don't say that. Women aren't trophies to show off. And I could never a marry a guy who doesn't mind sharing me with the rest of the world.

I am a secular muslim

Annnnnnd, that's an oxymoron..

sorry but personally
as a secular muslim/Emirati
I can't stand the hijab
that stuff is from the past and i think we should not follow things blindly
we should only follow things that stand up to a logical questioning

but i might be bigoted in the fact i find hijabs to be very unattractive
i would never marry a woman who wore one
I honestly can't wait until UAE and Middle East is secular like France or Spain or Sweden

Jonas1993 sounds not an Islamic name. Are you trying to mask your real name? And to say you do not need to learn anything more about Islam. AHEM AHEM . Says a lot!

Jonas1993 Answer me: Secular means to be secure, right?

Says who, secular is France?!!
Mate you are in a trance,
Stop the GLANCE.

Stop GLANCE both
at gals, who just please your eyes.
at countries you have little familiarity about. Malaysia is secular, and malaysian gals wear hijab voluntarily.

What kind of muslim are you ?
I have never heard a real muslim calling himself secular muslim.
What kind of muslim are when you don't like sisters with hijab, ALL-LLAH
made it obligation for our sisters in suratul-Ahazab,59, and you don't like it.
Eudhu bil-lah have fair of ALL-LLAH. In islam there is no democracy, ALL-LLAH
has decided for this and our muslima sisters should obey. In the end if you really
don't like ALL-LLAH's law then don't show your hipocrisy here (that you are a
munafik) wake up go get improve your relations with your GOD don't sleep anymore.
May ALL-LLAH make us among his real slaves who obey HIM, and may ALL-LLAH
make us who love his laws (quran) and His prophet's sayings (hadeeths)
ALL-LLAHUM-MA AMIN

I don't believe those laws are valid
They are 1400 years old
from a totally different time in history
people need to interpret things with a historical context
the society back then was different
shariah law and those things make sense in that historical context

but now shariah law is a violation of human rights
and hijab is outdated and needs to disappear in my opinion
there is nothing more important then freedom
at least to me

sharia law is violation of human rights? and you go to school in NYC, right? so you think American laws are the best? do you really know most of the things that are mentioned in American constitution and laws totally resemble sharia law? i had a conversation with a student who goes to American law school and the person said if you take out the things that are mentioned in sharia from American laws then there would be nothing left in it.

No we are not cofused. But you are confused. You, who has accepted a new name Jonas thats different from your true identity Younas, must be really confused. I repeat not just confused, but brain washed.

Because your circle of people in US are not receptive to a foreign name they call you Jonas. And you accepting this name, Even a atheist but proud emirati will disown you.
Now that being your true mindset, wanting to get acceptance in foreign land, you have emptied eveything from within your mind and soul , eveything and anything that defines you. So you are an empty box, making too much noise....

[Does that sound too strong hmm? just like you had pointed point of view, even I tried to have a point of view... Am sorry! ]
