Just about everything which ferments has trace amounts of alcohol in it.

"Synthetic" Alcohol is a universal solvent; you can't get away from it and this is in my limited knowledge of organic chemistry.

Its all good declaring it HARAM; applying the ruling effectively is another matter all together.

Muti resistant staph aureus

Its a strain of stap aureus that has become resistant to normal antibiotics such as penicillin. This is thought to be because of teh overuse of antibiotics in years gone by. There are only a few antibiotics that can help and even the bacteria is becoming resistant to these.

Its one of the £££$$$$$£££££$$$$$£££ places for pharmeceutical research.

Unless your deodorant says "ALCOHOL 0%" or "Alcohol FREE" there is no guarantee because they don't have to declare it as the point raised by Sister Zara!

I have a few anti-perspirant labelled as "Alcohol Free" however ethyl alcohol is listed in the list of ingredients. So I am a bit confused now, is it still okay to use the anti-perspirant for prayers?

I always thought that you shouldn`t use any alcoholic products when praying sis...due to the skin absorbs it in..(Well I am not sure...lol I am paranoid. )
