2 questions about salaah/namaaz

:salam2:,

1. if i join imam in 2nd rakaah, do i have to read durood shareef after tashahhud in the imam's 4 rakah which will be mine 3rd rakah?

2. if i join when imam has finished surah fatiha and reciting another surah, do i have to recite surah fatiha by myself as i was not present when it was being recited?

:salam2: your salah is same like always, just pray extra rakah which u missed.

2. if i join when imam has finished surah fatiha and reciting another surah, do i have to recite surah fatiha by myself as i was not present when it was being recited?

you may look at the thread about surah fatihah, and you have to hear what imam recites. Allah subhanahu wataala said :

7:204 When the Qur'an is read, listen to it with attention, and hold your peace: that ye may receive Mercy.

brother i suggest u a book about salah Namaz e nabwi by darus salam publications ............i find it best. it carries all possible answer to your questions with reference of hadith ,,, i just open that n i find all about fiqh of salah ,,, right from purification to the end
