400 Kilometer Whirpools in the ocean

Could someone explain to me whats going on in the ocean. There are two 400 kilometer ( diameter) whirlpools in the ocean. That is kinda scary.

it's possible to see whirpools in the oceans,as like as it's possible to see tornado or black holes in the space.
