As-salaamu `alaikm warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuh.
I pray everyone is doing fine--both health and eemaan wise--Bi'ithnillaah t`aalaa.
We had a really cool CD at home, it was filled with qisas[titled Qisas wa-al-`ibrah], but then it disappeared. Then, I found out that I actually have most(if not all) of those stories saved in my Ipod[courtesy of my sis), Alhamdulillaah. And I wanted to share them with you guys.
The stories are not in English though..and I tried my best to translate this one. Hopefully, it's good enough for you guys.
This one is pretty short, it's about سوء الخاتمه- A bad end.
A true story. It happened in Saudi Arabia--A place called Faysaliyah in Riyaadh. A very beautiful place and the stuff they sell is expensive. Both men and women come there. One sister was there, wearing a revealing attire that left her chest exposed.
A sheikh passed through a shop that she was at(and when he saw her, said)
"Fear Allaah! لو جاءك ملك الموت ماذا تفعلي " If the Angel of death was to come for you right now, with you exposing your chest and the men gazing at you lustfully, what would you do?
Laughing, she said to him, "Here, take my phone and call your Rabb. And tell Him to bring this Malak-ul-Mawt!" In a state of bewilderment, the man left. He[the sheikh] said, "I didn't even reach the door(of the shop), Wallahil-`adheem, when all of a sudden I heard a commotion--people were screaming! So I came back(turned back), thinking "what happened?" and...it's that girl. On the ground- Face down! She died. He said when I saw that it was her, I told the people, "Wallahil-`adheem, I was just giving her naseeha. Just right now.. and she said such and such words. The people left the scene crying."
This happened in the month of Sha`baan, 1421.
Allaah gives respite to His slaves, but when He seizes them, He won't grant them even an ounce of His mercy.
[The Italiced words are my attempt at translating the sheikh's words.]
Subhaanallaah. I hope we can take lessons from this. May Allaah `azza wa jall cause us to die in a state of Islaam, with the Kalimah on our tongues and the haqq in our hearts.
There's more to come, Inshaa'Allaah.
