for those of you trying to measure the benefit of such device, you need to bare in mind, that the threat of losing your hearing can result.

I don't think there need to be any bias to just apple products, any of the hearing devices amplified load in your ear may cause problems.

almost everyone who uses an mp3 player plays it well above the recommended volume. I can't really feel bad for these people since its kind of common sense.
