Until recently it was just percussion. His "Footsteps in the Light" is a great CD with very inspirational nasheeh, some with percussion - ie, small drums and those things that go 'shh shhh shh' when you shake them.

But his last CD or 2 are full instruments, guitars & keyboards etc. He's gone back totally to his Cat Stevens pre-Islam music style.

In an interview,he said that when he reverted to Islam he has been told that music is haram so he stopped it,but after studiyng islam he came to the conclusion that it's controversial.

I'm aware of the hadiths that say that music is haram,but let us not forget that percussion is allowed in weddings and let us not forget the story of the woman who played percussion in thye presence of the prophet(PBUH) because she sweard she would do so if her husband come alive from a battle.

Anyways,this one has no music on it and it's just wonderful.
