The brother was a hindu before he reverted to ISLAM. He is a practising muslim MashAllaah and knowing Islam as well. But the problem is he dont want circumcision.

He said he will never ever do it, he just cant even think of it. Now he wants to know can he be a good muslim if he dont circumcised? what one can say him to convince that circumcision not only good scientifically but also odered by our Prophet Muhammad (saw).

Please give advise or atleast a convinsing words which will make brother agree for it.

JazakAllaah Khair for your time

Tamed Brother
AssalaamuAlaikum,

I think that brother does not know there are injections in the market which make your skin numb and you can do withever you want to do with skin. And after all, doctors are not going to cut all of his organ but a little of it.

If he is revert for long time then he must be knowing that the pain of hell is certainly more than the pain he might feel by circumcision, but over there as I said he might not feel much pain because such injections are available.

Thirdly as brother Alkathiri said, doctor can make him unconscience and do the action.

But any way

If circumcision after converting is too difficult, because of his age, then it is OK if he does not get circumcised. Circumcision should not be insisted on, lest it turns him away from Islam.

Never really Clean.....

Salaam Brother,

It is said you are a practising Muslim how can that be when you are directly saying no to circumcision, when it has been ordered for you to do as a Muslim.
Also how can you really be clean with a pencil tip....
Each time you urinate there is always gonna be some amount of urine remaining inside ur tip and you will never really be clean, so how do expect to pray in that state. Something to think about....

Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid saied:

In reality the issue is really simpler than many may think. Male circumcision is among the rites of Islaam and is part of the fitrah, or the innate disposition and natural character and instinct of the human creation, and is from the religion of Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Allaah has said (interpretation of the meaning): "Then we revealed to you (the command) to follow the pure and uncorrupted religion of Ibrahim."

The Prophet :saw: (peace be upon him) said:

"The Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was circumcisized when he was eighty years old." (Al-Bukhari, Vol 6/p. 388, Al-Salfiyya printing).

Male circumcision is obligatory for the Muslim male if he is able to do it. If, however, he is unable, whether due to fear of injury or if a respected and authoritative doctor has told him he will experience profuse bleeding which may make his life miserable, then the obligation for cirumcision is waived and he does not commit a sin by not having it done.

It is not permissible under any circumstance for the issue to become a hindrance for a person wanting to accept Islaam. The validity of one's acceptance of Islaam is not dependent on his performance of circumcision and it is valid for one to adopt Islaam even if he has not had himself circumcized

Ruling concerning circumcision for a man who becomes Muslim at a mature age

Question:
If a man converts to Islam and is quite mature in age – i.e., over forty – it is very difficult for him to be circumcised. Is it OK if he does not follow this particular practice?

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

If circumcision after converting is too difficult, because of his age, then it is OK if he does not get circumcised. Circumcision should not be insisted on, lest it turns him away from Islam.
