Is this man a Sheikh?

I have seen people often put Sheikh in front of his name, but I've never seen any proof that he has ever seriously studied Islam. And this bothers me because people take such serious advice from him...I feel that a person who has this much influence on the mass of the people, need to have some sort of degree saying "You can trust my judgments, I have studied Qur'an and Sunnah"

He is not a Sheikh I guess,otherwise he would use this title before his name....
but I like him very much....But ofcourse he has studied Quran and Sunnah.
He is A da'ee,Currently, he is working with an Islamic media company based in England and engages himself in da’wah activities including lectures on Islam in London’s famous Hyde Park.
But he is also well known International Islamic Orator,one of the respected IRF speakers
he has wrote a very good range of books like(famous also)
Is there A God?
Purpose of Life
Death and Beyond.
Unilife Muslim Life...etc

He came to Islam just after studying the Quran,before that he was a Born Cristian and Buddhist for 3years.
