Acts of Ibadah

Asalaamu alaikum -

A very knowledgeable brother at my masjid told me that there are 3 things on Earth that even looking upon them are considered an act of ibadah, or an act of faith: The Kiblah, the Qur'an, and the face of your mother.

Does anyone know if there is a Qur'anic or hadith backing to this? It sounds very beautiful but I would like to have proof on it.

This is part of a weak hadith which goes...

"Five are from Ibadah. Looking into the Mus'haf (The Qura'an), looking onto the Ka'aba, looking onto [one's] parents, looking into Zamzam [as] it takes off sins, and looking onto the face of a scholar"

Shaikh Al-Albani (rahimahu Allah) classified it as *Dae'eef* (weak) in his book..."Daee'ef Aj-Jame'e As-Sagheer" (the hadith is numbered 5036 in the book)

Jazakallah ukhti al kareema for taking the time to look it up. You looked it up in the original Arabic version, right ?
I ask out of plain curiosity because as far as I know, Dae'ef Al Jami As Sagheer isn't translated in to English yet.

Brother Danyal, I think the brother who mentioned this hadeeth to you belonged to the Indian subcontinent (or heard it from someone there), because it is mentioned often in the Indian subcontinent especially when someone tries to emphasize the status of parents in Islam.

wa iyyak akhi..and yes I did look it up in Arabic..to be honest I am not aware of whether or not Dae'eef Aj-Jame'e is translated to English..but it sure would be nice if it is..I think it would be quite beneficial to have in English considering that much of "the popular" weak hadiths amongst us are collected in that book but since not many take the time to look up their authenticity or even look into such great books..they remain "popular" (sadly)...inshallah professionals will make the initiative to make the book available in languages other than Arabic so its benefit does not remain so exclusive
