Al-Kahf

Hi everyone,

I just finished reading Al-Kahf (surah 18 of the Quran) and had a hard time understanding it. I looked into some further reading but wasn't all that helpful in terms of the underlying meaning of the surah.

Could anyone interpret this chapter of the Quran for me or suggest some reading material that could help me understand it better?

i am not confused about the storyline, what is confusing is that it is very different in comparison to the other surahs i've read so far. the part about the affair b/w moses and cyrus is what i find complicated, i couldn't read b/w the lines i think but the rest of the surah is fairly easy to understand.

rather than an explanation of the storyline (which is already pretty clear), i am just trying to find out how it is interpreted. i've read somewhere that this surah gives clues about the end of times or something like that.

anyway if there are any scholars or anyone who has taken a class on islamic/quranic studies, i would also be interested in learning about any academic discussions that might be out there concerning this surah.
