Asalaamu alaikum -
Bismillah rahmanir rahim
Brothers and sisters, a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I owe it all to Allah subhanu wa ta'ala. If any of you remember my long story I posted several months back, and my despair since, you will know why I am so happy now.
Thanks to Allah, I will not lose my house. Without going into a lot of detail, one brother took it on himself to gather donations and thus I am now caught up on almost all my bills, alhamdulillah. And with the start of the new year my "bucket" of sick time & vacation time has been refilled so I won't end up falling behind again (inshallah).
Thanks to Allah, I have been talking to a sister that has me as giddy as a 14 year old schoolboy. I wasn't sure if that would happen. We are only on the first stages (we've passed the "I like long walks on the beach and red headed songbirds" stage and have reached the "yes, you are the kind of man I want for a husband so let's talk further" stage) so we've a ways to go, but I'm optimistic and as always I've left it in Allah's hands to guide as He wills.
Thanks to Allah, my diabetes during Ramadan vanished. As did my high blood pressure and cholesterol. It was due to my diabetes I missed a lot of work and thus got behind on my mortgage, thus the problem I mentioned above.
What am I trying to say here? Well, other than my own I've seen many posts from new Muslims who are saying their lives changed for the worse when they took Shahadah. So I am advising them to stick with it. Make sure everything in your life is halal (I took down all the photos I was displaying in my house the morning of Jan 1, and in the evening of Jan 1 after Isha the brothers at my masjid gave me enough money to get my house current). Rely on Allah. He WILL come through for you, if you do as He asks!
