An Appeal to All Muslims by Sheikh Muhammad al Yaqoubi

As salaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh dear
Brothers and Sisters,

In support of our beloved Prophet and Messenger of
Allah, salla Allahu 'alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam, the
most perfect human being and the best of mankind, we
are starting a new campaign to boycott all Danish
products. If you truly love Rasul Allah stop buying
Danish goods. The pro-American media in the Islamic
world is doing nothing. It is our duty to show them
that we Muslims all around the world are furious and
we will exert every pressure on the Danish government
and do as much harm as possible to her economy.
Brothers and sisters, let us unite and defend the
Beloved of Allah so that we may be in his company in
al-Jannah. Please spread this appeal, may Allah
reward you.

Salamu alaykum

I believe that it is not a really good idea nor something that will have a great effect on muslim side. I mean resulullah sva never did something like this even though peopl called him a liar, crazy, magician, and even fought him. Resulullah svs used to trade with the mushrikeen, with the jews, christians, etc. He was trading with them even though they would fight resulullah svs. Remember, that for 3 yrs, resulullah and the sahaba were forced to eat the leaves from the trees due to the boycot of the quraysh. This shows that resulullah sva used to do buisniss, trade, and buy food from them. Also, i belive that muslims do things far more than the danish have done. Muslims say they love resulullah sva but yet do biddah, shirk, etc. This is far worse than drawing images about him. We say we love resulullah sva but yet we do not follow that which he came with. Allah sva says'

Say: "If ye do love Allah, Follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (3:31)

Also, i do not believe that the shaykh has right to speak for the whole ummah. Infact, he himself should contact the leaders of every muslim state, and they should decide what to do. Also, we do not want to make hardship because of this for the muslims around the globe as well as in denmark. There are alot of muslims in denmark.

Have other ulema spoken about something like this?
