Dear brother faith,
The first thing about the Holy Quran, it is revealed only to prophet Muhammad:saw2: and he is the "The seal of the Prophets"-Quran 33:3
Upon checking the credibility of Prof Khalifa (yes, he may discovered a fact in the Quran) he also claims he is a messenger and discredits Prophet Muhammad:saw2:.as the last messenger. He already failed the credibility of being a Muslim in that respect.
The Quran is compatible with modern science but it doesnt make Prof Khalifa a messenger if he discovered one example. There are many scientifc discoveries by non-Muslim scientists that proves that the Quran is a Divine revealation. Read them herehttp://islamyesterday.com/science/. None of the scientist claim they are prophets or messengers, in fact a number of them converted to Islam after their scientific discovery.
If you read the stories like Malcolm X about the Nation of Islam, or the sect called Ahmadiyah. and many others etc, all these sects are outlawed in Islam because each of their founders claim that they are messengers or prophets.
Prophet Muhammad
had warned Muslims that there will be "false prophets coming after him" so let us all be careful on who comes forward.
No person is immune to their personal and selfish desire(nafs). That is why we as Muslims need to have a parallel education in worldly matters and Islamic religious matters.
Humans may have good intentions in the begining but without divine guidance
soon turn to the path which has gone astray. Shaytan is always whispering in our hearts and if we are not careful we may follow our own selfish and foolish desires.
The Quran teaches us many things and was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad.He was the one who conveyed the message to humans, jinn and all that exists. False prophets will not stop coming forward and try to erase the (sunna)traditions of our prophet so lets all beware of this threat.
The Prophet(Saw) said:
"I am leaving you two things and you will never go astray as long as you cling to them -- they are the Book of Allah and my Sunnah." [Reported by Al- Haakim - Sahih].
As for the truth of the abovesaid article, I rather wait for scholars of Islam to clarify this matter up than cause the breakup of the Muslim ummah because of some hidden agendas of certain individuals and organizations.

Some muslims and some so called muslims like Rashad Khalifa, who claimed to be a prophet and diverted himself and many othe from the true path. It is really a shame that so many muslims still ignore the clear orders for how to live our lives from the Quran and get into the discussions of obscurities and attempt to find prophicies and predictions from some made-up "mathematical formulas". For Allah's sake stay away from all that there is NO GOOD in this futile and meaningless exercises. Allah's and His prophet's word are clear and without any ambiguities or confusion. Yet Allah has built in misguidance in the Quran for thso who are insincere or ignorant. This is how Allah misleads this disingenous people. Here is the evidence from the Quran itself:
A'udu Bil Allah min shytanar rajeem

YUSUFALI: He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.

Dr. Bilal Philips wrote a book called "The Quran's Numerical Miracle: Hoax and Heresy". I suggest you read it to see a detailed refutation of Rashad Khalifa's ideas.
In addition to that, that Islamic Jurisprudence College/Academy مجمع الفقه الإسلامي [which is under the Muslim World League] has issued a fatwa [religious opinion] -during its Eleventh Round which was held in Mecca from February 19, 1989 to February 26, 1989- which declared Rashad Khalifa to be an apostate [i.e., out of the fold of Islam] and warned of his writings. It mentioned four points claimed by Khalifa, and any one of these four is enough as a basis to declare this man to be no longer a Muslim:
1- His denial of some verses of the Qur'an
2- His denial of the Noble Sunnah [The Prophet's -peace be upon him- actions, words and approvals].
3- His claim that the prayer of the Muslims is a prayer of polytheists
4- His claim of prophethood
This fatwa was signed by many scholars such as:
1- Abdul-Aziz ibn Abd-Allah ibn Baz
2- Salih ibn Fouzan ibn Abd-Allah al-Fouzan
3- Bakr Abd-Allah Abu Zaid
4- Dr. Abd-Allah Omar Nasif
5- Muhammad ibn Jubair
6- Abd-Allah al AbdurRahman al-Bassam
7- Muhammad ibn Abd-Allah as-Sabil

You can't post anything on here that may make people think.....that is the sad part. Sorry they removed it on you. In the last days people will not follow the Quran, but other innovations saying the Quran is not enough. That is why there is so much controversy in Islam. Just like the Christians and Jews, Allahs word wasn't good enough, so all kinds of writings were done to support it. IF Allahs words arent' good enough, but mens are?? boy is Islam in trouble.
