:salam2: instead doing mannat that i will pray 2 or 4 rakah nafal f my wish become true, pray this 2 or 4 rakah now and do dua to Allah for full filling the need. Cause Allah doesnt need our 2 or 4 rakah, but we need this salah for our own sake. There are many reasons why it is disliked or detestable for one to make a vow. One reason is that a person is basing his obedience and worship to Allah Ta’ala on his desires i.e. if Allah Ta’ala grants him his wish, he would be obedient and if Allah Ta’ala in His infinite wisdom and mercy decides otherwise, the individual would not be obedient Allah Ta’ala.

Another reason that vows are not advisable is that one may tend to believe that his wish was accomplished because he made a vow. This is incorrect as everything is predestined by Allah Ta’ala (Taqdeer). Many narrations clearly point out to the fact that vows do not change taqdeer. Nabi صلى الله عليه و سلم explained that vows do not change or do not bring good nor does it avert away evil.

for shukr, people dont vow, people just pray as much he/she can. and we should also do a lot of Amal as shukr. so shukr has nothing to do with vow.
both are different things.

mannat is ok as long as it doesnt contain shirk, bidah etc. You can do it and if u want to do it, do it like i will fast for 1 day etc , which puts burden on Nafs.

Brother, lets not talk abt this Taqdeer. Nabi(SAW) has prohibited us to talk about it.

Nothing wrong

Prayer can change your destiny. If you pray sincerely and seek something from Allah (SWT) Inshallah He (SWT) will answer your prayer. So prayer can change your destiny. But even if your prayer is answered it does not mean your destiny is somehow changed. Rather in fact it is again your destiny.
