animals being treated better?

earlier today, while i was at work, i had to put some pet supplies away; and i noticed all of these things that these animals, mostly dogs have for them. they have lamb meals, beef and chicken meals etc. but something hit me. how often do our muslim brothers and sisters in sudan, palestine, somalia, and kashmir get to eat nice lamb, beef, and chicken dinners? we have humans starving and we're feeding dogs lamb? how many of these kids in these places have toys, but these dogs do? dogs don't even really belong in houses. i've seen muslims with several dogs as pets. why, outside the purpose of hunting? we have given more sadaqa to these animals, than to our oppressed brothers and sisters in islam.:astag: i'm sorry if i come off harsh, but it was really bothering me.

WaAlaikum Salaam, Brother,

Brother, this is the diseased world we live in, where the hardest Test of our lives takes place. A place where people will shout and scream and spend huges sums of money on their sports team, but when it comes to a humanitarian crisis (even in their own city) they are often totally silent, apathetic. A place where many parents show more love and attention to their dogs than they do their own children.

These are sad times we live in, Brother, and my heart cries out in fitful sobs when I concider some of the rediculous practices going on for mankind. But at the same time, I am glad to know Allah SWT and content in the knowledge that He loves me and will help me, and that I'll be judged for my actions alone: "will not be asked concerning what they used to do." And after I am judged and cleansed of my flaws, inshaAllah He will forgive me, I will invite all of TTI over to my heavenly mansion for a grand dinner and visit and things-we-don't-even-know-about-yet.

Asalaamu alaikum,
Br. Ahmed

My husband brought back an injured kitten which i think at that time was about a week old home after he told me about it,,left sitting at a corner of shop. bleeding from his mouth. Being an animal lover,, i took care of it,, feeding it and alhamdulillah he well now weighing about 8 kilos too..
On my way back from work which was about 11pm i heard a weak mewing of a kitten and it had started to drizzle,, trying to locate where the sound came from i saw a box and lo and behold i think a few days old kitten was in it..I decided to take it back home and the next day asked hubby to get the neccessary milk bottle and some kitten milk and tried my best to bottlefeed it..Alhamdulillah she is well now about 4 kilos....both of them are part of the family now,, and i do feed them with canned foods and that all. No other special treatments like going for shampooing,,nail trimmings and special clothes :astag: at special outlets for pets lovers.
I always have some dried cat food with me in my bag instead of makeup,, in case i see some strays around. It sad at times to see those strays too,, defenceless,, some just skin and bones too :SMILY23::SMILY23::SMILY23:
so i hope i am not sinning by feeding those strays.

Yeah those canned dog food are just amazing. They consist of rice, beef, gravy, carrots sweet peas. It’s more like stew
sometimes i used to envy the dogs . (should't say but i even thought of trying it once ) btw most of them consist of horse meat.

and what about the dresses for animals ,clothes with all kind of fashion

they have whole stores with that and its not chip at all
They make animal parties and even weddings:astag:

U see a dog all dressed up and treated like a human.
I have nothing against animals and I love them really ,but people exaggerate sometimes and it makes me mad...

The dog has to eat though, even if it's not gourmet dog food, so...? The dresses and clothes and little bows for dogs is completely ridiculous, I agree. It sucks, but I mean...it's kind of impractical to ship all the meat that goes into dog food over there from the US or whatever. Unless you want Palestinians to eat dog food? Eh, didn't think so.
