Assalamo Alaikum!
No body in this world born at his own choice but according to wisdom of Allah SWT (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala). He decided who shall take birth when, where and with whom. You would have been in a very poor family or may be a member of a rich family or may have born with some physical disability. Alhamdulillh! You have quite a reasonable living (without load shedding), food and clothes of your choice and above all you are in good health that is indeed a real wealth. Allah SWT decided your birth in Muslim families other wise you may or may not have been in the list of believers by choice. He keeps changing the good and bad days among the people and nations. Today’s rich would have been poor of yesterday and vice versa. Can you show gratitude for His countless blessings? He does not require but this is in your benefit to do so.
The shortest and easiest way to thank Allah SWT is His Zikr. Praying 5-times a day is one of the best Azkaar. The Holy Quran is a Zikr and reciting the Holy Quran is so admiring to Allah SWT that He said “If some one is so deeply involved in reciting Quran that he could not beg from Allah SWT, He Almighty will award him what he would have requested otherwise”. When we say to recite The Quran, it means;
* Initially learn how to read The Quran correctly (acquire knowledge of Tajweed and practice it) and keep reading repeatedly.
* Understand its translation.
* Follow it step by step what would you have understood from it.
You should be very thankful to Allah SWT reflecting from your good deeds before He records your names in the list of ungrateful and disobedient people.
I know you all are good but I wish you all to be the best and successful here and in the life here after for Allah SWT said;
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ سورة التحريم
O ye who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire whereof the fuel is men and stones, over which are set angels strong, severe, who resist not Allah in that which He commandeth them, but do that which they are commanded.(6/66)
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا الْيَوْمَ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ سورة التحريم
(Then it will be said): O ye who disbelieve! Make no excuses for yourselves this day. Ye are only being paid for what ye used to do. (7/66)
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَّصُوحًا عَسَى رَبُّكُمْ أَن يُكَفِّرَ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيُدْخِلَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ يَوْمَ لَا يُخْزِي اللَّهُ النَّبِيَّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ نُورُهُمْ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ سورة التحريم
O ye who believe! Turn unto Allah in sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will remit from you your evil deeds and bring you into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, on the day when Allah will not abase the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will run before them and on their right hands: they will say: Our Lord! Perfect our light for us, and forgive us! Lo! Thou art Able to do all things. (8/66)
Wise people are always pro-active. They prepare well before their journey. One day each of us will depart on a journey free of cost. Don’t worry about the seat, it is confirmed and flight is always ontime. However, our deeds=good-bad, will be the luggage and determine class of travel, protocol and final destination. Islam will be our passport. Kalima Shadah will be our visa having logo of Faith and grave will be our waiting lounge. May you travel 2 heaven in 1st class. Ameen!
Take care from tempering of your passport with Nifaq/ hypocrisy which in turn may invalidate your visa for The Prophet (PBUH) said as narrated by Abdullah bin Amr (RATA) "Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up. 1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays. 2. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie. 3. Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous. 4. Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and insulting manner." Bukhari Volume 1, Book 2, Number 33:
Make balance in love since The Prophet (PBUH) said as narrated by Anas (RATA): Bukhari Volume 1, Book 2, Number 14: "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind."
May I ask you and myself some questions?
* Do you think if we are well prepared for emergency travel to final destination?
* Do you think if we have done enough to protect ourselves and our families from the Hell Fire?
* Do you think if we have spent 1% time so far to learn The Quran and its teachings?
* Can you compare the time daily you sped observing TV and reading/understanding The Quran/ Ahadith/ Seirah? You are still very busy?
* Are you sure about the Day of Judgment alike you have faith in the fact that the Sun rises in the east and sets in the west?
If you believe so then what has made you so lazy so far? Allah SWT said;
يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيم سورة الإنفطار
O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, (6/82)
تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنٍ سورة المعارج
(Whereby) the angels and the Spirit ascend unto Him in a Day whereof the span is fifty thousand years. (4/70)
