Boldness In Muslim Men & Women..

I hope that each of you brothers and sisters is in an excellent state of health and iman...inshallah

I have been thinking about *boldness* as a characteristic for days (the reason is a long long long story)...and I came to thinking about *boldness* as a characteristic in Muslim brothers and sisters...and I ended up with following questions...




When & how does *boldness* come to be an attractive trait..a benefit..and possibly even a virtue?

and

When & how does *boldness* come to be insolence..a harm..and/or cockiness?




I look forward to seeing everyone's input on the topic...as it will enlighten me (and inshallah others)...

inshalla some one will come up with a proper definition.

but i think people will always have different definitions of boldness

Maybe because we had been teach about humble. The humbleness can make us become sensitive. The heart sensitiveness make us become a human could feel His will. Our heart will hurt if we don't follow His will. All of this could make us become persons who don't like to see unjustice situations, corruptions, anarkism, and discriminations. And we are ready to be a martyr for raising justice.

When & how does *boldness* come to be an attractive trait..a benefit..and possibly even a virtue?
firstly i had to look up boldness to be sure that i was using the right definition. it means courageous and daring for those who do not know. my honest opinion to this question is: Boldness becomes an attractive trait, a benefit and even a virtue when and only when we are able to sacrifice what we have for the sake of Allah. When we are able to put others first before ourselves, when we are able to let go of greed and grudges. Because the prophet s.a.w said that a man who speaks a word of justice is stronger than a man who wrestles(not quoted word for word). however in this sense being able to do the above, such as sacrificing and letting go of greed and grudges and anger is not an easy task. it takes alot of effort, alot of practice and only one who is willing and brave enough could overcome this task.

When & how does *boldness* come to be insolence..a harm..and/or cockiness?
Boldness becomes an insolence, a harm, and/or cockiness when you use it against the innocent people. when you think of yourself so highly and so brave, that you go to the extent of hurting others including yourself. doing things that you normally don't do so that you can get that title of "the one who is brave and courages" or the one who is "daring". Being bold is good in many ways but it also has its ups and downs. if you use it to help out people, to speak the truth in front of others and to fulfill your promises to Allah- then you truly are bold. but when you only use it to gain fame and name and you expect all the "hotties" or the "cuties" to surround you because you teased someone who is "weaker" or "quieter" or "afraid"- then you become a fool and that name and fame vanish so easily.​
