Salam aleykum dear brothers and sisters
There are some discussions lately that people are separated in 2 groups...some say a muslim woman can marry only a muslim, some say she can marry who she wants that there is no proof in Quran for this prohibition.
Myself, i understand why there is the view that a man is the leader and provider of the house, also in theory he remains with the kids in case of divorce so only he is allowed to marry a woman from other religion....but today women have more options and more power of decision, many provide just as much as the husband and even more, are serious and aware in living islam 24/7 so is hard to understand why can not have the same rights if we are equal ?
I think such a mixed situation will be very very hard esp. for the kids, will be confusing, but i want to have a correct view.
Can you provide some help inshallah ?
May Allah bless you all.
